学这套书的时候我还在美国,米粒姥姥替我带娃,生活中几乎全是中文。Audrey Wood很有名,美国麻麻们都在推荐,因此我在米粒开始英文启蒙后差不多一年左右买了这套里面的《The Big Hungry Bear》和《Quick As A Cricket》,之后还买了《Scaredy Cats》治愈分离焦虑。
这套书大人可能觉得光怪陆离,可是小孩子就是特喜欢。Audrey Wood笔下的洁西卡和马修这对姐弟的故事总是让人捧腹大笑!Audrey Wood的故事总是出其不意,又让人会心一笑!
同时,充满天马行空的想象力,也蕴含许多教育意义。这套书里有不少亲子对话的范例,妈妈们可以学一学,和孩子进行简单的双语对话呢。
韵文大师的绘本在美国很火,夺得多个童书大奖,更入选廖彩杏书单,这不是没有原因的: 
这套书的文字作者Audrey Wood被称为“韵文大师”,她文笔生动、灵气,擅长使用叠句,使文字产生节奏和旋律,读起来非常有韵律感,而孩子在语言敏感期中就是需要从这种律动中去体会语言的美好。
韵文大师夫妇是美国童书界非常受欢迎的一对夫妻档。他们在1969年相遇并于同年结婚,一同为孩子们创作了许多精彩的图画书。
他们这对夫妻档在文图搭配上默契度非常高,还获得国际大奖无数:

Scaredycats《胆小猫》讲述了一个让人忍俊不禁的有趣故事,画风上延续了Audery Wood之前的Jessica和Matthew系列绘本,比较偏漫画风格。
色彩艳丽大胆,人物表情、举止细腻生动,侧重线条的勾勒,将绘本中毛茸茸的小猫咪们刻画的蠢萌可爱。
故事讲述了猫妈妈想选两只小猫咪去城里寄信,最小的两个孩子最终说服妈妈被选中,其他小猫挖苦他们是捉不到老鼠的胆小鬼,在这样的冷嘲热讽中,两只小猫尽管惴惴不安,但还是坚持要尝试一次独自出门。
一路上,他们翻过山丘,穿过森林,越过小河,所到之处皆无心看风景,他们担心遇到巨人怪、猫巫婆、强盗,他们害怕信和钱被偷走,从而时刻处于紧张恐惧、草木皆兵的窘境里。
所幸的是让他们心惊胆战的这些假想都没有发生,他们即便被吓得魂飞魄散,却没有停下前行的脚步,然而进城后却遇上了让他们出乎意料的难题:
邮局关门!这两只小猫咪最终是否能完成妈妈交代的任务?又出现了哪位贵人相助?米粒妈先卖个关子,在下文中我们一起来寻找答案。
scaredy cat在英语中用来表示“胆小鬼”,作者巧妙地利用了字面意思和实际含义,一语双关又恰到好处。通过两只“胆小猫”给孩子讲述了一个关于勇气的故事,勇气不是无所畏惧,而是即使心怀忐忑仍然选择勇往直前!
和Audery Wood以往的作品一样,除了带给孩子成长的秘诀,也能引发爸爸妈妈的思考。
也许我们可以学习一下文中的猫妈妈,在适当的时候,在安全的情况下敢于放手,让孩子去大胆尝试。关于脚下的河水有多深多浅,无需嘱咐太多,不妨让孩子自己去探索!
生动有趣的音频故事下方自取
比起韵文大师的之前几部作品,这部绘本的篇幅更长一些,语言难度也略有提高。但生动形象的插画和同义词及重点句型反复出现的文本特点使孩子们在理解上并不吃力,反而很容易在重复中更好地掌握语言点。
比如两只小猫经历的每个情景的开头都会出现:Yellow/Blue Kitten began to wonder and worry about scary things. (小黄/蓝猫开始胡思乱想,担心一些恐怖的事情。)以及反复出现过19次的他们臆想的可怕情景都使用了What if…这个句型。
另外,整本书的基调都定在两只小猫的恐惧上,关于“恐怖”、“可怕”的形容作者使用了很多不同的词汇,并随着恐惧程度的递进,逐词增加难度,也随之将主人公的惧怕心理一点点推到极致。
这些词分别是:bad,awful,dreadful,terrible,woeful,hideous。让读者深刻体会主人公心理的同时,也学习到同义词、近义词的使用。
除了以上这些语言特色,还有一个细节米粒妈想要特别说明一下。在故事的开篇部分,当猫妈妈不知选择哪个孩子去寄信的时候念道:"Eenie-meenie-miney-mo, which of you will get to go?”(“依呢咪呢麦呢哞,你们谁会去呢?”)
此处让人摸不清头脑的Eenie-meenie-miney-mo,并非作者为了押韵而肆意乱造的咒语,而是风靡英美国家的一个小游戏。这个游戏和我们小时候的玩的“点兵点将”相似,常出现在游戏中的选人环节,孩子们会一起唱下面这段童谣韵律歌:
边唱边挨个点人,韵律歌的最后一个单词落到谁,谁就被选中。作者Audery Wood在此处引用可以说是用得恰到好处。
Scaredy Cats 胆小猫
One busy morning, Mother Cat sat down and wrote a letter.
一个忙碌的早晨,猫妈妈坐下来写了一封信。
When she finished, she had a problem.
写完之后,她发现了一个问题。
"Oh fishsticks! Out of stamps.
“哦,天呐!没有邮票了。
Someone must go to the Post Office."
得有人赶紧去邮局。”
Mother Cat called her seven children.
猫妈妈叫来了她的7个孩子。
Which two would go to town and mail the letter?
哪两个可以去城里寄信呢?
"Eenie-meenie-miney-mo, which of you will get to go?"
“依呢咪呢麦呢哞,你们谁会去呢?”
"She will pick us this time." "I know."
“她这次会选我们的。” “我知道。”
"No me." "Me." "Me." "No me." "Me,me."

“不,选我。”“我。”“我。”“不,选我。”“我我。”
"Y-O-U,I choose you and you."
“你-们-吧,我选你和你。”
Everyone wanted to go. 
每一个小猫都想去。
Finally, Mother Cat chose her two eldest kittens.
最后,猫妈妈选了年龄最大的两个小猫。
"BAH!"
“叭!”
"Boo hoo! You never pick us Mother!"

Her youngest kittens were very sad.
年龄最小的两只小猫非常伤心。
They had never been to town without Mother Cat.

Why could’ t they have a chance?

"Scaredy Cats, Scaredy Cats, can’t even catch a rat!

Ha-ha, haha hah!"

"I m not scared." "Neither am I."

How the older kittens laughed!
大猫猫们使劲儿笑话他们!
Send the babies to town?
让小宝宝去城里?
Even shadows scared them.
就算是影子都能吓到他们。
They would never make it.
他们永远都做不到。
But Mother Cat was fair. 
但猫妈妈很公平。
She knew the little kittens were right.
她知道两只小猫是对的。
It was their turn, after all.
毕竟该轮到他们了。
"Now go straight to the Post Office,
“现在直接去邮局,
buy a stamp,and mail this very important letter."
买一张邮票,然后把这封特别重要的信寄出去。”
"The cat caught the rat, Heigh-o the derry-o, The cat caught the rat."
“猫咪抓到了老鼠,嘿哦嘿嘿哦,猫咪抓到了老鼠。”
Mother Cat gave the letter to her youngest yellow kitten,
猫妈妈将一封信给了最小的小黄猫,
and a coin to her youngest blue kitten.
将一个硬币给了最小的小蓝猫。
Proud and puffed-up, the happy kittens started on their way to town.
开心的小猫咪们自信满满地踏上了去城里的路。
The road ahead seemed to go on and on forever.
前面的路看起来要永远一直走一直走。
Each step took the kittens farther and farther away from home.
每一步都让两只小猫离家越来越远。
Suddenly, Yellow Kitten began to wonder and worry about scarey things.
突然,小黄猫开始胡思乱想,担心一些恐怖的事情。
"What if something bad happens? 
“要是有坏事发生怎么办?
What if you lose Mother’s coin?"
要是你丢了妈妈给的硬币怎么办?”
"That would be bad."
“那就太糟了。”
"What if I sneeze," Blue Kitten agreed, 
“要是我打喷嚏,”小懒猫表示同意,
"and the coin jumps out of my paw?"
“然后硬币从我手中跳出来怎么办?”
"Ahhh-Choooooooo"
“阿嚏嚏嚏嚏!”
"And it starts rolling away,"

Yellow Kitten added, "Faster and faster and faster?"

"Come back coin!"

"I’m not the Ginger bread Man, but I can roll as fast as he ran."

"And then it hides,"

Blue Kitten said, “and we cannot find it?”

But the scaredy cats did not turn back.

They walked on down the road to town.

Before long, the kittens came to the bridge.
不久以后,两只小猫来到了木桥前。
Suddenly, Blue Kitten began to wonder and worry about scarey things.
突然,小蓝猫开始胡思乱想,担心一些恐怖的事。
"What if something awful happens when we cross over? 
“要是过桥时有糟糕的事情发生怎么办?
What if someone steal Mother’s coin?"
要是有人偷了妈妈给的硬币怎么办?”
"How awful."
“太糟糕了。”
"What if a giant troll cat jumps up out of the water,"
“要是一只巨人猫从水里跳出来怎么办?”
Yellow Kitten agreed, “growling and yowling at us?"
小黄猫表示同意,“对着我们嚎叫大吼怎么办?”
"And he grabs us and shakes us,"
“他要是把我们抓走,还晃来晃去,”
Blue Kitten added, "and wants to eat us up?"
小蓝猫接着说,“然后想把我们吃了怎么办?”
"Grrrrryowl!"
“嗷!”
"I’m going to eat you for my snack."
“我要把你们当点心吃掉。”
"And he sees the coin shinning in our paws,"
“要是他看到硬币在我们手里发光,”
Yellow Kitten said, "And takes it from us?"
小黄猫说,“拿走了怎么办?”
The scaredy cats thought about turning back, 
胆小猫们想到了往回走,
but they kept on going.
但他们还是继续向前。
On the other side of the bridge, 
在桥的另一边,
the kittens tiptoed into the forest.
小猫们踮着脚尖走进了森林。
Suddenly, Yellow Kitten began to wonder and worry about scarey things.
突然,小黄猫开始胡思乱想,担心一些恐怖的事情。
"What if something dreadful happens? 
“要是有什么可怕的事情发生怎么办?
What if I lose Mother’s letter?"
要是我丢了妈妈的信怎么办?”
"How dreadful."
“好可怕啊。”
"What if a howling wind comes along?"
“要是一阵狂风吹来,”
Blue kitten agreed, “and rips the letter out of your paws?”
小蓝猫表示同意,“然后把信从你手中卷走怎么办?”
“And the wind throws the letter down into the leaves?”
“然后风把信吹到那些树叶下面怎么办?”
Yellow Kitten added.
小黄猫接着说。
"And we look and look for it, until we are grey and whiskered,"
“要是我们找啊找啊,一直找到我们的毛变灰了,长胡须了,”
Blue Kitten said, "but never find it?"
小蓝猫说,“还是找不到怎么办?”
"By whiskers, we are bound to find it soon."
“有了胡须帮忙,我们很快就能找到了。”
"yep......"

Even though the scaredy cats wanted to go back home, 
尽管胆小猫们想回家,
they kept on walking through the forest.
但他们还是继续穿过了森林。
Soon, they came to the long, dark tunnel.
很快,他们走到了又长又黑的隧道这里。
Suddenly, Blue Kitten began to wonder and worry about scarey things.
突然,小蓝猫开始胡思乱想,开始担心一些恐怖的事情。
"What if something terrible happens?
“要是有可怕的事情发生怎么办?
What if someone steals Mother’s letter?"
要是有人偷了妈妈的信怎么办?”
"How terrible."
“好可怕啊。”
"What if cat-bandits are inside, waiting for us?"Yellow Kitten agreed.
“要是猫匪在里面,正等着我们怎么办?”小黄猫表示同意。
"Heh,heh,heh!"
“嘿嘿嘿!”
"Shhhhhhhhhh!Here they come."
“嘘~~~!他们来了。”
"What if they have claws like knives,"
“要是他们有像刀一样的爪子,”
Blue Kitten added,"and red-gleaming cat eyes?"
小蓝猫接着说,“冒着红光的眼睛怎么办?”
"And they surround us," Yellow Kitten said,
“然后他们把我们包围,”小黄猫说,
"and tie us up with ropes, and leave us shivering in the dark, cold tunnel?"
“然后用绳子把我们绑起来,把我们扔在这个有黑又冷的隧道里发抖怎么办?”
“I’m cold.” “Me too.”
“我冷。”“我也是。”
Still, the scaredy cats kept on going, through the tunnel and out the other side.
尽管如此,胆小猫们还是继续前进,穿过了隧道来到了另一边。
There, they found the nettle field. 
在那儿,他们发现了荨麻田。
The kittens walked on through the tall weeds.
小猫们穿过了高高的草丛。
Suddenly, Yellow Kitten began to wonder and worry about scarey things.
突然,小黄猫开始胡思乱想,担心一些恐怖的事情。
"What if something woeful happens? What if we get lost?"
“要是有悲惨的事情发生怎么办?要是我们迷路了怎么办?”
"How woeful."
“好悲惨啊。”
"What if an evil cat-witch cast a spell,"
“要是有一个邪恶的猫巫婆施出魔法,”
Blue Kitten agreed, "and turns the whole world into nettle fields?"
小蓝猫表示同意,“把全世界都变成荨麻田怎么办?”
"And all the cats and towns are lost and hidden in the nettles,"
“然后所有的猫还有城镇都在荨麻中丢了,被藏起来了,”
Yellow Kitten added, "and we never find the Post Office?"
小黄猫接着说,“我们永远也找不到邮局怎么办?”
"Abra-cat-dabra, grow nettles, grow!"

"Goosey-Goosey Gander, Whither dost thou wander? Heh, heh."

"Help!" "Help!"

The scaredy cats wished they could go back home,
胆小猫希望可以回家。
but they walked on through the nettles,
但是他们继续前行,穿过荨麻,
until they came to the high, rocky ledge.
来到了又高又陡的石崖。
Suddenly, Blue Kitten began to wonder and worry about scarey things.

突然,小懒猫开始胡思乱想,担心可怕的事情。
"What if something hideous happens?
“要是可怕的事情发生怎么办?
What if someone steals us?"
要是遇到小偷怎么办?”
"How hideous."
“好可怕啊!”
"What if a great, screeching bird snatches us?" Yellow Kitten agreed.
“要是一只巨大的,尖叫的鸟把我们抓走怎么办?”小黄猫表示同意。
"And takes us to its nest, high on a mountain top,"Blue Kitten added.
“然后把我们带到它的窝里,就在高高的山顶上,”小蓝猫接着说。
“Screech.”
“嘎吱。”
"And," Yellow Kitten said, 
“然后,”小黄猫说,
"we have to feed and care for its ugly babies."
“我们还得给丑丑的鸟宝宝喂食,照顾它们。”
Even now, the scaredy cats kept on going. 
哪怕到现在,胆小猫们还是继续前进。
They did not turn back.
他们没有回头。

"Watch your step." "Follow my tail."
“小心脚下。” “跟紧我的尾巴。”
Hurray! 
好耶!
At the bottom of the ledge, the kittens came into town, 
在石崖的底下,小猫咪们来到了城里,
and the Post Office was not hard to find.
邮局也并不难找。
"Look! There it is!" "Let’s go!"
“看!就在那里!” “我们走!”
"Oh,no!" "It’s not even open."
“哦,不!” “它都没开门。”
Closed for General cat’s birthday.
因为猫将军的生日暂停营业。
But when they ran up to the door, 
但是当他们跑到门口时,
a truly bad and awful and dreadful and terrible and woeful and hideous thing happened.
一件非常坏的又糟糕的又可怕的又恐怖的又悲惨的又吓人的事情发生了。
The Post Office was closed for the day.
邮局今天关门。
Now, Mother’s coin could not buy a stamp. 
现在,妈妈的硬币买不了邮票了。
Mother’s letter could not be mailed.
妈妈的信寄不出去了。

How could the kittens go home without finishing their job?
没有完成任务,小猫们怎么回家呢?
Just then, the kittens had a wonderful surprise.
就在这时,小猫们得到了一个很棒的惊喜。
A bus drove up and Grandmother Cat stepped out.
一辆公共汽车停下来,猫奶奶走了下来。
No one knew she was coming to Catville.
没人知道她来到了猫小镇。
"Look, who’s here."
“看,谁在这儿啊。”
"Grandmother!" "Do we have problems!"
“奶奶!”“我们遇到难题了!”
"We carried Mother’s coin and letter."
“我们带着妈妈的硬币和信。”
"troll cat, and wind, and bandits, and nettles and bird..."
“巨人猫,还有风,还有匪徒,还有荨麻还有鸟......”
The kittens told her about Mother’s very important letter, 
小猫们告诉她妈妈的重要的信,
and about the scarey things.
还有那些恐怖的事情。
When Grandmother Cat looked at the letter, it was her turn to be surprised.
当猫奶奶看到信之后,这次换她惊喜了。
The letter was for her! She opened it, and read out aloud.
这封信是给她的!她打开信,大声地读了出来。
"Dear Grandmother Cat, 
“亲爱的猫奶奶,
Why don’t you come for a visit? 
您为什么不来我们这里串个门呢?
The kittens miss you. Sincerely Mother Cat."
小猫们很想你。诚挚的猫妈妈。”
Before they left Catville, Grandmother Cat took the kittens to the ice cream parlour.
在离开猫小镇前,猫奶奶带小猫们去了冰淇淋店。
She treated them all to fishberry cones.
她请他们吃了鱼莓味儿的甜筒。
"Which way are the bandits? 
“到匪徒的路是哪一条?
Show me that old Troll Cat. 
让我看看那只老巨猫。
You say there’s a witch up ahead?"
你说在上面有个巫婆?”
"Follow us Grandmother!" "We know the way!"
“跟我们来奶奶!”“我们知道路!”
At last, the kittens started for home, with Grandmother Cat following close behind.
最后,小猫们开始往家走,猫奶奶紧紧跟在他们后面。
On the way, they wondered and worried about scarey things-
在路上,他们还是胡思乱想,担心一些可怕的事情——
but not very much.
但不是一直想了。
  • stamp /stæmp/
绘本中取其最常见的释义,名词词性,用来表示邮票(a small piece of paper with a picture or pattern on it that is stuck onto a letter or package before it is posted, to show that the cost of sending it has been paid)。
比如米粒姥爷从学生时代就很喜欢集邮,就可以说:Grandpa's interest in stamp collecting dated from his schooldays.
除了名词词性,stamp作为动词的用法很多宝贝也不陌生,可以用来表示跺(脚)、重踏[to bring (your foot) down heavily and noisily],家喻户晓的儿歌兼绘本If You're Happy and You Know it!中也反复出现过这个单词。
If you are happy and you know it, stamp your feet.
如果感到快乐你就跺跺脚。
If you are happy and you know it, stamp your feet.
如果感到快乐你就跺跺脚。

如果你感到快乐,并且很想表现出来,

  • wander /wɒndə/
动词词性,绘本中取其最基本的释义,表示闲逛、漫步(to walk around slowly in a relaxed way or without any clear  purpose or direction)。
旅游时比起去疯狂shopping,米粒妈更喜欢花些时间在一些老城区闲逛,就可以表达为:I like wandering around the old town. (我喜欢在老城区闲逛。)
同时,wander还可以表示走神、开小差(If your mind or your thoughts wander, you stop thinking about the subject that you should be giving your attention to and start thinking about other matters.)
下次提醒宝贝上课认真听讲别走神的时候,就可以这么表达:Don't let your mind wander during the class.
  • rip/rɪp/
绘本中取其动词词性,用于表示迅速扯去(to remove something quickly, without being careful),比如自然纪录片常见的场景:The eagle uses its beak to rip the meat from the carcass. (这只鹰用嘴猛地扯下一块腐肉。)
除此之外,rip作为动词时,更多时候表示撕裂、撕破(to pull apart; to tear or be torn violently and quickly)。比如好动的米粒童鞋昨天晚上弯腰的时候,把新裤子扯开了线:His new pants got ripped when he bent down.(他弯腰时把新裤子撑开了线。)
  • be bound to
这个固定搭配表示某事肯定发生、极有可能发生(to be certain or extremely likely to happen)。比如我们很有可能偶尔想不起别人的名字:We're bound to forget people's names occasionally.
  • cast a spell
这个短语既能表达施魔法,也能用来表示使…入魔、入迷(to use words thought to be magic, especially in order to have an effect on someone)。
所以这个固定搭配可以用于青蛙王子的故事:The old woman cast a spell on the prince and turned him into a frog. (老太婆对王子施了魔法,他变成了一只青蛙。)
也可以用于如今饭圈男孩儿女孩儿们:The singer casts his spell on my younger sister. (我妹妹对这个歌手很着迷。)

  • Kid: They look so scared. (他们看起来很害怕。)
  • Mom: What makes them scared? (他们为什么害怕?)
  • Kid: I'm not sure. Is there a very scarey monster? (我不确定,是不是遇见怪物了?)
  • Mom: I don't know, either. Let's check it out! (我也不知道,我们往下看看吧!)
接下来,我们再来看看两只小猫踏上征程时的情景吧——
  • Mom: Look at the picture. Where are the kittens? (看看图,小猫们在哪儿?)
  • Kid: They are on a road. (他们在路上。)
  • Mom: Where are they going?(他们要去哪儿?)

  • Kid: Yes. Look, the yellow kitten is holding a letter and the blue kitten is holing a coin. They will post a letter for their mommy. (对呀,看小黄猫手里拿着一封信,蓝猫手里拿着硬币,他们要帮妈妈寄信。)
  • Mom: Exactly! What is the blue kitten doing? (很准确!小蓝猫在干嘛?)
  • Kid: He is looking back. (他在回头看。)
  • Mom: Right! What is he looking at? (对,他在看什么?)
  • kid: He is looking at his mommy and his home. (他在看妈妈和他的家。)
  • Mom: Why? (为什么?)
  • Kid: He might be a little bit nervous and scared. (他可能有点紧张和害怕。)
  • Mom: Yes. They have never been to town without Mother Cat. What can you find on the road in front of them? (是的,他们从没自己去过镇上,在他们前方的路上你能看到什么?)
  • Kid: I can find a bridge over a river, a forest and mountains. (我看到了架在河上的小桥,森林还有很多山丘。)
  • Mom: Great job! The journey looks very long and difficult for them. Will they finish their task? (很好!看上去道阻且长,他们能完成任务吗?)
  • Kid: I believe they will. (我相信他们可以。)
最后,我们再来体会一下,两只小猫排除万难,终于找到邮局时的喜悦吧——
  • Mom: Look at the picture on the left. Where are the kittens? (看左图,小猫们在哪儿?)
  • Kid: They are on the ledge. (他们在山崖上。)
  • Mom: What is the ledge like? (山崖看上去什么样?)
  • Kid: It's very high and rocky. (又高又陡。)
  • Mom: Yes! It's very dangerous. Do they give up and turn back? (是的,很危险,他们放弃退缩了吗?)
  • Kid: No! They keep walking forward. (没有,他们坚持前行。)
  • Mom: Absolutely! They are so brave.  (没错,他们非常勇敢。)
  • Mom: At the bottom of the ledge, where do they arrive? (下了山崖,他们来到了哪儿?)
  • Kid: They arrive in town. (他们来到了镇上。)
  • Mom: Do they find the Post Office? (他们找到邮局了吗?)
  • Kid: Yes! It's not hard for them. (是的!不难找。)
  • Mom: Look at the picture on the right. Which house is the Post Office?(看右图,哪间是邮局?)
  • Kid: I guess the house in the middle with the blue roof is. (我才是中间蓝色屋顶的。)
  • Mom: How come? (为什么?)
  • Kid: The others are hair salon and ice cream shop respectively. (另外两个分别是美发店和冰激凌店。)
  • Mom: Brilliant! Look at the two kittens. Are they scared any more? (聪明!看看两只小猫,他们还害怕吗?)
  • Kid: No, they look very happy now. (不怕了,看上去很高兴。)
  • Mom: Will they send the letter successfully? Let's move on. (他们能成功寄出信吗?咱们接着往下看。)

值得一提的是,绘本中Audery Wood还在一些细节上致敬了经典童谣,不仅用得恰如其分,还增加了韵律感和趣味性,锦上添花宛若神来之笔。
比如在两只小猫臆想会遇到猫巫婆的时候,出现的“Goosey-Goosey Gander, Whither dost thou wander?”(“鹅啊鹅啊鹅,你在哪里漫步?”)——
并非杜撰,而是出自《鹅妈妈童谣》中的作品Goosey Goosey Gander,其中whither,dost,thou保留了原版的古英语,对应的现代英文单词分别是where,do,you
此外,在被猫妈妈委以重任的时候,两只小猫开心地唱起了“The cat caught the rat, Heigh-o the derry-o, The cat caught the rat.”(“猫咪抓到了老鼠,嘿哦嘿嘿哦,猫咪抓到了老鼠。”) 同样致敬了经典童谣The Farmer in the Dell——
