Good morning, Ms. Newfield.
老师:It's so nice to see you today. We're going to actually wrap up a couple of things. What does it mean when you are going to wrap up something? What does that mean? Do you know? You're going to finish. Like finish. If you wrapped up a present you would be finished? Right? So we're going to finish with a couple of things.
Who remembers one rule of introductions from yesterday?
If you have two girls or if you have two boys, does it matter whose name you say first?
学生:No.
老师:Okay. Who would like to introduce two… okay, Caroline you had your hand up first even before instructions, but would you please introduce two girls at the table?
学生:Matilda I would like you to meet my friend Brooke. Brooke I would like you to meet my friend Matilda.
老师:I think that is absolutely perfect. Now excellent young lady. The next would be is there a boy at the table who would like to volunteer to introduce two people? You had your hand up first Lex.
学生:Jack meet my friend Skyler. Skyler meet my friend Jack.
老师:Excellent! And I like the way you made eye contact. You looked over at Jack. Boys and girls when we say somebody's name we look in their eyes. This is our power right here. Our eyes. When you have a older person and you have a younger person, you say the older person's name first. Let's use Ms. Vicky your teacher. She is an older person than you. So if I was in the room and I wanted to introduce one of you to Ms. Vicky, here's what I would say. Ms. Vicky's name first. The older person's name first. Ms. Vicky, I'd like you to meet my friend Matilda. Matilda, this is Ms. Vicky and she's a wonderful teacher.
Matilda I would like you to meet my friend Brooke. Brooke I would like you to meet my friend Matilda.
Ms. Vicky, I'd like you to meet my friend Matilda. Matilda, this is Ms. Vicky and she's a wonderful teacher.
学生:Wow
老师:Stand behind your chair. Come on in. Come on in.
学生:Good morning.
老师:Good morning. Boys and girls. It's so nice to see you. Would you please sit down in your chair? Pull it out and be very careful. Hands immediately go in your laps. We have a very special special lunch for you today. So that we can practice all of our dinning skills. The teacher is taking her cloth napkin. Any time you have a cloth napkin, you only open it half way. Now what happens to a paper napkin? What's the difference?
It's get open whole.
老师:It's gets open all the way. That's rignt. So our cloth napkin. Would you please just pick it up but pick it up to the side so that you don't get it in your food. Pick it to the side and open it half way. Excellent. Excellent. Pick up your knife and fork. Go into a cutting position. Cutting. You're fantastic, Lex. You're fantastic. Palm of the hand. Your hands go down. Would you like a piece of cantaloupe first?
Pull it out and be very careful.
Hands immediately go in your laps.
Pick it to the side and open it half way.
Pick up your knife and fork.
