老师:What sounds does letter A make? 点名一个孩子回答
学生:/æ/
老师:What sound does letter o make? 点名
 学生:/ɒ/
老师:What sound does letter I make? 点名
学生:/ɪ/
老师:Hands down. Here we go. We're gonna sing a song we get right to it. Okay.
老师和学生一起唱:
Get ready for the sound train. (choo,choo)
Get ready for the sound train. (choo, choo)
Get ready for the sound train. (choo, choo)
Here we go.
Who knows the alphabet ? I do, I do.
Who knows the alphabet ? I do, I do.
Who knows the letter a? /æ/ /æ//æ/ /æ/
Who knows the letter o?  /ɒ/  /ɒ/  /ɒ/  /ɒ/
Who knows the letter i?  /ɪ/ /ɪ/ /ɪ/ /ɪ/
老师:Very good.
Here we go all these word letters. And then we're gonna start sounding out words.Back straight please. Here we go.
老师和孩子们一起唱:
Who knows the letter C? /k/
Who knows the letter n? /n/
Who knows the letter s? /s/
Who knows the letter r?/r/
Who knows the letter m? /m/
Very good. Three more. Sit up.
Who knows the letter t? /t/
Who knows the letter p?/p/
Who knows the letter b? /b/
老师:Okay, we're gonna start with our short a sound. What sound short a make? Kylie? Thanks for raising your hand.  What sound a short A make?
学生:/æ/
老师接下来分别点名不同的孩子来巩固short A sound, short o sound 和short I sound
在确认了大部分孩子都已经掌握了short sounds之后,老师开始逐一进行拼读练习:
老师:Okay, we're gonna start with our /æ/ short a sound.
Okay, here we go. I'm gonna do the first one. I'm gonna have you do some by yourselves. Hands down.
老师把单词mat放在了pocket chart里面,
随后说:I felt that when I … where's my little car (老师拿出一只铅笔长短的教鞭,教鞭头粘贴了一个小汽车的图片)

类似这种,但是教鞭的顶端是一个小汽车
what I do when I see a green light my car is gonna(老师教鞭上的小汽车从单词第一个字母走到最后一个字母)… and drive.  When I see a red stop sign, what's my car gonna do? Julian?
学生:Stop!
老师:Stop! Very good.

老师:My turn first, and then your turn.
老师:Jason. m-a-t, your turn.
学生:m-a-t
老师:What's the word?
同学们纷纷举手,但是老师发现还有几个孩子没有举手。
老师:Well I want more people to know. Hands down. We'll try it again.
 m-a-t  Your turn.
学生:m-a-t
老师:I'll do it faster. m-a-t

点名让一个孩子来说,再全班来说。
老师:Very good. We'll try another one.  I know these sounds before.  We have …(老师展示出单词nap)I'm gonna try it. Hands down. Eyes up here.  n-a-p  Your turn.
接下来让孩子们拼读:nap
老师:Next word say the sounds in your head. Who thinks I can read this word?
 sounds in your head, go ahead. Hopefully, one person knows. Let's see. ..(老师展示出单词tap)
点名让孩子来拼读。
老师:Next word, say the sounds in your head. (老师示范张口但不出声,就是如何在脑子里拼读s-a-p这个词)

老师:Everyone say, sap, sap, sap
老师:Last short a sound, eyes up here. Back straight, eyes up here.
(老师示范张口但不出声,就是如何在脑子里拼读p-a-t这个词)
Ooh, I know that one is a tricky one.
点名让孩子来拼读。
老师:Every one, pat, pat, pat. Very good. Moving on to our next set. We're gonna do short I words right now. What sounds this short I make?
点名某个学生来回答。
 学生:/ɪ/
老师: very good, here we go. First one, ready? Eyes on me. T-i-m , your turn.
学生模仿老师进行拼读:T-i-m
What's the word?
请孩子回答:Tim
Every one. Tim, Tim, Tim.
Is Tim a word or a name? how can I tell it's name?
老师和学生讨论什么样的单词可以看出来是个名字。
老师:Next one, (老师给出单词sip),do it in your head.
点名一个小朋友来拼读

老师:Everyone, sit, sit, sit  Very good. Thank you Sabrina.

Someone quiet with a nice vertical hand.

学生:the ocptus.
老师:what letter is that?
学生:O
老师:Very good. An o makes an /ɒ/ /ɒ/ sound.
这时孩子们有些坐不住了,老师整理课堂秩序:
We have three more words before we go to centers.
Every one back straight.
I'm gonna give you five seconds to wiggle around, five seconds. Go ahead.
老师和孩子们一起放松,随便活动活动筋骨,共5秒钟时间。
Back straight, sit up, criss-cross(盘腿坐好),punch fingers, ok, here we go. Eyes on me.
Three quick /ɒ/ words and then we go to the centers.
老师拿出单词mom
有个孩子说m-o-p
老师:oh, close, what's the last sound?
学生:m
老师:mmm,so we have m-o-m. what's the word? Mom. Every one, mom, mom ,mom
老师又拿出一个单词:pop
老师:sound sort of like mom. Look different. What's the word?Jason, what's the word?
学生:pop
老师;sound it up for us
学生:p-o-p
老师:what's the word? Pop. Every one, pop, pop, pop
老师:kayla, last word, before we go to the center (老师拿出最后一个单词top)last word, do it in your head… Sabrina, what's the word?
学生:t-o-p, top
老师:very good. Every one, t-o-p, top, top.what's the word? Top
接下来,老师领读三个单词:mom, pop, top,本次自然拼读小课就结束了。
大家仔细听音频,就会发现,老师在一遍一遍地示范如何把CVC单词sound out读出来。
咱们也可以学习美国老师的方法,尤其是对于刚刚开始学习自然拼读的孩子来说,用小汽车从单词左边走到单词右边,同时在嘴里念出字母音,最后拼读在一起的过程,对于孩子开始学习拼读,有着非常直观的认识,很符合五岁左右孩子的认知能力。
还要提醒各位爸妈和老师们,逐个单词拼读出来以后,一定要配套phonics读物,有针对性地在分级读物中,让孩子练习读单词,读句子,理解篇章大意。不能仅仅为了拼读来拼读,通过拼读,让孩子学会自主阅读,增强理解能力,才是目的。
