解释开音节和闭音节的

上篇《后悔没有早点学会划分音节》一文,我向大家介绍了音节的六种类型,以及三种教给小朋友的数音节的简单方法。
本次课堂实录,来为大家展示美国老师给k年级孩子上课时,是怎么解释开音节和闭音节的概念的。如何能把概念生动有趣简单易懂地教给孩子呢?

复习如何数音节
老师:Raise your hand nicely if you know a strategy to count syllables.
学生纷纷举手。
老师:Oh, wow, almost everybody knows.  Natalia, can you tell me what strategy you can use to count syllables?
 学生:……
老师:Yeah, if you were doing the word popcorn, how would you do the strategy?
学生:Popcorn(一边说单词,一边用一只手的手指头在另一只手中轻叩)
老师:yeah,so everybody, she did it with her fingers. Can we do that with her? Popcorn.and that has two syllables. What's another strategy that you might be able to use to count syllables? (点名)
学生:Chin drop.
老师:Chin drop? Can you show everybody how you would do the chin drop?
学生:popcorn (把一只手放在下巴底下,同时说popcorn,下巴碰触手两次)
老师:yeah, she did it. Popcorn. (老师重复学生动作。)I can think one more strategy that we can use.(点名)
学生:(思考状)
老师:so we've done that tapping our fingers and the chin drop. Can you think of another strategy?  (点名)Can you help him out?
学生:popcorn(拍手)
老师:yeah, clapping. Popcorn. (拍手)that's another good strategy that we can use to count syllables.

引入开音节和闭音节概念
老师: So today we're going to work with syllables. I want to show you a video  and it's about syllables. So …
老师通过一个小小的视频讲解,让孩子接触了这两个概念。
老师讲解,在白板上写下单词hit
老师:Raise your hand if you can help me what kind of letter is at the end of hit. (点名)
学生:uhh, I forgot.
老师:you forgot? Is it a vowel or consonant?
学生:a consonant.
老师:A consonat. Yeah, so when there's a consonant at the end of the syllable,  it's like closing the door on the vowel and so it says it's short sound. So can everybody say hit with me?
学生:hit
老师:hit. Can you guys hear that [ɪ] sound?  that's the short vowel sound. If it was a long vowel sound it might say [aɪ]. Does [haɪt] Sounds right?
学生:no
老师:no, it doesn't.  So when there's a closed syllable it closes the door on the vowel and it says short sound.  I need every one to look down here.

练习与巩固
老师列出一组单词:
Word bank
By, mat, net, hot, fly, dog, cat, backpack, box, he, shock, chosen, cry, bath, she, tiger, baby
老师:So down here we have our word back and look all the words down there. Some of the words have one syllable, some of the words have two syllables.  So what we're going to do is it's our job to find out where does the syllable belong. Is it  a closed syllable ? There's a door to help us remember the consonant at the end of the syllable closing the door on a vowel or is it an open syllable where there's a vowel  at the end of the syllable or could  it be open and closed like the word student? We just looked at student was open and closed, cause it has two syllables.  So now in my mind while you're writing I'm going to think is it open or is it closed syllable or both yeah.  That's a good thing that you said that. So could it be both. How many syllables in this mat? Raise your hand if you know.  I think everybody should know how many syllables mat is.  (点名)how many syllables in mat ?
学生:one
老师:one. So it can't be open and closed because there's only one syllable.
接下来老师让孩子练习区分word bank中的单词,是开音节?还是闭音节?或者既是开音节又是闭音节?
有一位孩子来到白板前,在判断backpack的音节时,把ck和ck用方块圈了出来。
老师:oh, I like that strategy she is using. Can everybody see what she's doing?  It looks like she's making a door around the consonants. So give me a thumb up if you would agree with her. Hunter do you agree? Brady do you agree? Or do you think it's open ?
学生:I don't know.
老师: All right. Wow, (it) has two syllables and she's put both of them in the closed. Can you share with us why it's a closed syllable?
学生:both ck are blocking the vowels.
老师:yeah, she said the ck they are both consonants and they're blocking the vowels in. So even though it has two syllables, both syllables are closed. Good job. Thank you.
学生逐一来到白板前来判断word bank中的单词音节类型。
老师:all right. Here we have the word baby. Baby is a tricky one. How many syllables? Raise your hand if you know syllables baby is. (点名)How many syllables baby's?
学生:two.
老师:Two. Yeah. Ba-by(拍手数音节). So we have to think about both syllables. The first syllable has a vowel at the end. So that's open. There's no consonant closint it in. and then the second syllable b has a y at the end. It's also a vowel. So both of them are open. Cause there's no consant closing the door.

总结与回顾
老师总结:so I just want to remind you guys when the syllable has a consonant at the end it's like it's closing the door on the vowel and it makes it  closed syllable and the syllable says a short sound like dog. There's a g at the end and it's a consonant. So it says d-o-g. it's a short sound. It doesn't say [əʊ],  [dəʊg].  And so then if a syllable has a vowel at the end it's an open syllable. There's no consonant to block the end. Thank you guys for doing activities with me.
关于开音节和闭音节,听了美国老师的讲解,你是否明白了呢?我尤其喜欢老师的比喻:when the syllable has a consonant at the end it's like it's closing the door on the vowel ,形象生动,所以就是闭音节啦。
下面两张图,也清晰地展示出两个概念,并明确指出在不同的音节中,元音是发什么音。
最后给大家分享一个很简单但很有用的小教具,帮助孩子练习开音节和闭音节的拼读。
首先拿一张A4纸裁出长方形,接着对折再对折,形成四个格子。
把三个和第四个格子折起来,并在第四个格子上画一个小圆点,当作门把手。把单词写入,就完成啦。
