第三十期：It makes my day!
小小常今天有一件高兴事儿想要和Mike分享。视频刚一打开，他就急切地凑了上去。
小小常
Mike! I'm so happy today! I've just finished a very difficult Lego project. Look!（Mike!我今天好开心！我刚刚装好了一组非常难的乐高玩具。）
Mike
It looks amazing! Congratulations, Victor!（它看上去太棒了！恭喜你啊，小小常！）
小小常
I have shown it to all my friends, and everyone likes it! I feel it's my greatest work during this long holiday. I can't wait to bring it to school!（我把它给我所有的朋友都看了，每个人都喜欢它！这应该是我在这个漫长的假期中最伟大的作品了。我等不及要把它带到学校！）
Mike
Fantastic! It really makes your day, doesn't it?（这太了不起了！It really makes your day，对不对？）
小小常
Makes my day what?（Makes my day什么？）
小小常突然有点摸不着头脑。Mike被他疑惑不解的样子逗乐了。
Mike
When something makes your day, it means this thing makes you happy for an entire day. This amazing Lego project makes you very happy today, so it makes your day!（当某件事makes your day的时候，意思是说这件事让你一整天都很开心。装好这个乐高玩具让你今天特别高兴，所以It makes your day!）
小小常
I get it! Can I say it makes my week? Because I will be happy for a week about it.（我明白了！那我可以说It makes my week吗？因为它会让我开心一星期的。）
Mike
Sure! Actually you made a good point!（当然可以啦！你说的很对！）
Make one's day是一个非常口语的用法，意思是“让某人很开心”。当你遇到特别高兴的事，就可以这么用。
比如在街上偶遇明星：
I run across Julia Roberts in Broadway today! She made my day!
我今天在百老汇偶遇了茱莉亚·罗伯茨！这事让我开心了一天！
买的股票突然猛涨了一倍：
I bought the stocks of Apple Company, and the price doubled yesterday. It just made my day!
我买了苹果公司的股票，昨天价格翻了一番。这真让我高兴！
公司发了年终奖：
I received my annual bonus this afternoon, which made my day! Now I can buy a new computer!
今天下午我收到了年终奖金，真让我高兴！现在我可以买一台新电脑了！
除了高兴，如果有件事让你觉得很搞笑，比如你在网上看到一个段子，乐得不行，也可以这么说！
—Have you seen the “coffin dance meme” on twitter? In Ghana, men dance while carrying a coffin on funerals.
—你看过推特上的“抬棺舞”吗？在加纳，男人在葬礼上抬着棺材跳舞。
—Yeah! It's so funny and made my day!
—看了啊！这太搞笑了，让我乐了一整天！
再或者有人帮了你一个大忙，让你很高兴，你可以对他说：
Thank you. You made my day!
谢谢。你让我一整天都很高兴！
当然，要是遇到了能让你高兴一周的事，你可以说This makes my week! 甚至一个月，一年都可以（虽然这种情况比较少见）。就像开头小小常说的，装好了最难的那个乐高玩具，能让他高兴一个星期。
或者幼儿园终于开学了，煎熬了几个月的老父母亲们忍不住欢欣雀跃，也能高兴至少一星期！
My son will start going to the kindergarten again next Monday! Can you believe it?! It will make my week!
我儿子下周一又要开始上幼儿园了！你能相信吗？！这事能让我高兴一星期！
表达开心除了可以说make my day之外，再教大家几个其他生动的短语：
● over the moon 高兴得像上了月亮
John got engaged today and he is over the moon.
约翰今天订婚了，他欣喜若狂。
● On cloud nine 心早已飞到九霄云外
When the boss announced my promotion, I was on cloud nine.
当老板宣布我升职时，我高兴得心早已飞到了九霄云外。
● On top of the world 幸福到极点
She was feeling on top of the world after winning the tennis tournament.
赢得网球锦标赛后，她高兴得像走向了人生巅峰。
虽然2020年的这头几个月，我们遇到的好事可能不多,但是后半场也许会峰回路转呢。等以后遇到开心的事了，这几句英语大家就可以快快用起来啦！
