最近两家公司，一个是欧洲德意志银行，另一个是航空巨头美国波音。
德意志银行这两年业绩不好，投资债券巨亏，导致高层决定大裁员——裁去18000人；波音在两起空难事件过后，737机型重飞之路一拖再拖，拖累它家订单一减再减。

drop [drɒp] n. 下跌，下降，减少
a reduction in the amount, level, or number of something, especially a large or sudden one

a reduction in the amount of something

shrink [ʃrɪŋk] v. 缩小，收缩，减少
to become or to make sth smaller in size or amount

cut back 削减
If you cut back something such as expenditure or cut back on it, you reduce it.
