开学前，你必须知道……

春季学期前两周取消线下授课

哥伦比亚大学在2021年12月22日宣布，春季学期的前两周将取消线下授课，以“最大程度降低COVID-19导致的学生无法返校或需要隔离的不便”。

疫苗加强针措施

注射加强针纳入哥伦比亚大学强制疫苗接种措施。

如果你符合条件但尚未接种，请于1月31日前尽快接种；
如果你的接种日期还未到，请在满足条件时尽快接种；
如果你已接种了加强针，请上传加强针注射记录截图至你的学生健康服务系统“Patient Portal”，并填写接种日期，以确保学校了解你的最新情况。

入校检测要求

所有学生必须在学期开始时（最迟于1月28日前）进行核酸检测。请注意，非哥大测试点的检测结果不符合入校检测要求。核酸检测可提前7-10天预约，请做好相应安排。

No In-Person Classes for the First Two Weeks in January

Columbia announced on Dec. 22, 2021 that there will be no in-person classes during the first two weeks of the spring semester to "...to minimize disruptions for students who may be unable to travel or who must isolate because of COVID-19."

Booster Mandate

University has also expanded the vaccine mandate to include a booster shot. Please get yours as soon as you are eligible if you haven't already, and by January 31 at the latest (for those who are eligible). If you are not yet due for your booster, please do so as soon as you become eligible. Once you've done so, please upload an image of the booster vaccine record to your student health service Patient Portal and enter the date you received your booster to ensure that the University has your most updated information.

Gateway Testing Requirement

All students are required to get a COVID-19 PCR test at the start of the term, by January 28 at the latest. Tests from non-University sites do not fulfill the gateway testing requirement. Appointments open 7-10 days in advance, so please plan accordingly.

赴美旅客核酸检测要求

2021年12月6日起，所有2岁及以上的乘坐航班赴美的旅客需出示乘机前1天内的核酸检测阴性报告方可登机（少数情况例外）。自11月8日起生效的原政策仅要求出发前3天内的核酸检测。阅读更多信息：

Waiver of Visa Interviews Through December 31, 2022

U.S. consulates have been given new authority to waive certain nonimmigrant visa interviews for several categories of individual petition-based visa classifications through December 31, 2022. The existing policy in effect since September 15, 2021 authorizing interview waivers for certain F, M, and academic J nonimmigrants through the end of 2021 will be extended to December 31, 2022. Pre-departure Testing Requirements for Air Travelers to the U.S.

If you plan to travel internationally, you will need to get a COVID-19 viral test no more than 1 calendar day before you travel by air to the United States, effective December 6, 2021. You must show your negative result to the airline before you board your flight. It applies to all air passengers age 2 or older regardless of citizenship or vaccination status, with limited exceptions. This is a change from the previous requirement that a test be taken within 3 days before departure that had been in effect since November 8th. Read more here:

If you are in F-1 status, completing your program at the end of the spring semester (Congratulations!), and are interested in pursuing employment in the U.S., it's time to learn about the OPT (Optional Practical Training) application process. Start your preparation early!

OPT is a benefit and extension of F-1 student status that allows you to work in your field of study for up to 12 months and is authorized by USCIS, the immigration agency. In these webinars, an ISSO advisor will discuss eligibility requirements and application procedures for F-1 Optional Practical Training (OPT) employment authorization after your graduation.
