塔利班上台！特朗普用一句话讽刺拜登，火力全开

自从特朗普退休之后，美国各大电视台的收视率，和网站的点击率，开始了直线下跌。瞌睡乔的讲话，实在让人提不起兴趣。

退休后的特朗普，还算是比较安静的，没怎么折腾。不过，在塔利班几乎兵不血刃地进入喀布尔，CCTV6碰巧播放了《一条狗的回家路》之后，特朗普生气了。

这位退休的老领导，很快进入状态，发表了十几份书面声明，又接受电视采访，火力全开。

在美国从阿富汗撤军，塔利班开始接管之际，前总统特朗普周日呼吁拜登总统“不光彩地辞职”。

call on这个搭配，定义是demand that someone do something，表示公开地呼吁，要求某人去做某事。

disgrace表示耻辱，一般的搭配是in disgrace，表示不受人尊重，不被认可。如果你查一下词典的话，会发现好几本词典的例句中，都有resign in disgrace这个搭配，表示不光彩地辞职。

特朗普在声明中，历数了拜登的种种过错：

"It is time for Joe Biden to resign in disgrace for what he has allowed to happen to Afghanistan, along with the tremendous surge in COVID, the Border catastrophe, the destruction of energy independence, and our crippled economy," the former president wrote in a statement.

前总统在声明中写道：“拜登是时候不光彩地辞职了。是他导致了阿富汗现在的局面，以及国内疫情激增、边境灾难、能源独立遭破坏，和经济瘫痪。”

surge的定义是a sudden powerful forward or upward movement，即激增。特朗普在这里用surge表示新冠病例的激增，此前奥巴马在阿富汗增加驻军的行动，也叫作surge。

cripple可以作名词表示跛子，残疾人，也可以作动词，表示cause severe and disabling damage to，即严重损坏。

在要求拜登辞职之后，特朗普还是觉得不解恨，还补一刀讽刺说：

"It shouldn’t be a big deal, because he wasn’t elected legitimately in the first place!"

"这不应该是个大问题，因为他一开始就不是合法当选的！"

in the first place是个很地道，很常见的说法，表示at the beginning，即最初，一开始。

选举输给拜登，使得特朗普总统成为了退休老干部，这一直是他心中的痛。所以，虽然说的是阿富汗，但他还是要扯到这件事。

特朗普的老部下蓬佩奥也不甘寂寞，和老领导一起炮轰拜登：

拜登还受到了前国务卿蓬佩奥的批评。他周四告诉福克斯新闻，如果特朗普还在任，这种情况就不会发生。

would not have happened是虚拟语气。阿富汗的事情已经发生了，这里作出了与事实不相符的假设，所以要用虚拟语气。

这一次，特朗普在5天内，一连发了12份声明，可见他有多生气，多激动。接下来，他还会有什么表演？我们拭目以待。
