First floor不是一楼？ LG/M层又是哪一层啊？

给大家说一个真实的故事：

我朋友刚到英国留学那会儿

在商场里买买买突然想上厕所

她就跑去问路人洗手间在哪里

路人回答：on the first floor

她在一楼绕了一圈，膀胱都炸了！

还是没找到厕所，后来她幡然醒悟

妈的，老娘现在是在大不列颠！

真是亏她从小学的是牛津英语

在英国，first floor = 2楼啊

那么问题来了，一楼怎么说呢？

答案是：ground floor

这种说法在英式英语国家很普遍

比如：英国、澳大利亚、新西兰

而美式英语国家first floor = 1楼

所以大家出去旅游的时候要注意啦

尿急的时候要聚精会神分辨啊哈哈

那么关于楼层的问题还有哪些

值得我们注意的地方呢

我们常说的负一楼B1的B代表什么呢

这个b是指basement：/ˈbeɪsmənt/ n.地下室，地窖

b1: basement first floor

以此类推

b2：basement second floor

b3：basement third floor

🏘️ 在英式英语中，有一个ground floor，直译过来为地面层，其实这个就是我们说的一楼。我们在英式英语国家乘坐电梯看到的G按钮，就是一楼。那么再来类推，他们的1st floor就是二楼，2nd floor就是三楼。（有没有晕嘻嘻）

而美式英语中则没有这个ground floor，楼层和对应的中文表达一样。一楼即为1st floor。

商场的手扶梯：escalator

升降梯：lift（英式），elevator（美式）

🏘️关于在几楼：可用on和at，但是要注意区分

➤ Jack's apartment is on the 9th floor.

强子的公寓在九楼。

➤ The elevator will stop at the 10th floor.

电梯会在十楼停一下。

两个都对！但是分情况。

罗强的公寓在九楼，是公寓的一个固有属性，此时用on。电梯在十楼停一下，只是那个时间的状态，用at。

L层=Lobby 大厅

LG=Lower ground

低于地面一层的空间

LG1=B1 LG2=B2

UG=Upper ground

ground floor 上面的那层

M=Mezzanine ['mezəni:n]

（尤其指一二层的）中间层

因为英美式英语存在很多差异

所以日常生活闹的笑话还真不少

As a speaker of American English, I once told my British coworker that I needed to stop home before our next appointment because my pants were wet.

The confusion in this case was based on the fact that in the U.S., pants means everything from slacks to blue jeans, while in Britain, pants means underwear.

On a related note, in the 90s there was a popular song that had a female backup singer repeating the line “pissing the night away” over and over.

The members of the band were all British, which is important in understanding that “pissing the night away” essentially means “drinking the night away” or even just “wasting time all night long”.

In the U.S., pissing means “urinating”.
