STEAM教育分论坛介绍
Panel Introduction
STEAM教育是科学(Science)、技术(Technology)、工程(Engineering)、艺术(Arts)和数学(Mathematics)融合在一起进行综合性的学习和探究,旨在提高学生的跨学科综合能力、解决问题的能力和创新能力。不同于传统的单学科严格界定、重书本知识传授的教育方式,STEAM教育是一种重实践的跨学科教育理念和教育模式,让学科之间得到融合,是新型教育的一个重要开端。

Fred Leichter
Harvey Mudd College 工程学教授
The Claremont College 协作创造力中心创始人
Fred Leichter,哈维穆德学院(Harvey Mudd College)工程学教授,专门研究设计思维和创新。他是克莱蒙特学院(The Claremont College)协作创造力中心(the Hive)的创始人,他希望通过探索、协作和体验式教育学习来帮助培养学生的创造力,他也热衷于将以人为本的设计和设计思维引入本科教育。
Fred此前在波士顿富达投资公司(Fidelity Investments)任职25年。他是该公司负责设计思维和创新的高级副总裁。1996年,他在该公司设计了富达的第一个网站,并带领团队专注于用户需求,并尝试更快的创新。他也在富达投资公司内部创建了一个精简的初创企业孵化器功能,以帮助更快地提出新想法。
Fred也是斯坦福大学Hasso Plattner设计学院(d.school)的讲师和研究员。作为研究员,Fred在d.school时研究了研究了父母年迈的人未被满足的需求,以及代际财务问题。作为讲师,他教授了“数据设计”、“视觉思维策略”和“将快乐带入工作场所的设计”等课程。
Fred Leichter, clinical professor of engineering at Harvey Mudd College, specializes in design thinking and innovation. He was the founding director at The Claremont Colleges’ Rick and Susan Sontag Center for Collaborative Creativity (the Hive), with a mission to accelerate the creative development of students through exploration, collaboration and experiential learning. He has a strong passion for bringing human-centered design and design thinking into undergraduate education.
Fred previously spent 25 years at Fidelity Investments in Boston. He was a senior vice president for design thinking and innovation there, where he designed Fidelity’s first website in 1996 and also led teams to focus on user needs and experiment for faster innovation.He created a lean, start-up style incubator function within the larger financial company to help bring new ideas forward more quickly.
Fred has also been a lecturer and fellow at Stanford University’s Hasso Plattner Institute of Design (the d.school). Fred studied the unmet needs of people with aging parents and issues around intergenerational finance when he was at d.school. He also taught classes such as Designing with Data, Visual Thinking Strategies and Project Joy: Designing Delight into the Workplace.

Single Effect Studios 联合创始人
Kevin Hsu是一位数学家、程序员、设计师及教育者。毕业于斯坦福大学理学硕士(学习、设计和科技专业),他的研究侧重于STEAM教育和教育游戏设计。Kevin在斯坦福大学的d.school和教育学院创客空间有着丰富的教学及工作经验,并在多所国际学校创立及教授STEAM课程。同时,Kevin也是Single Effect Studios的联合创始人。该游戏公司专注于利用游戏培养学生的领导力、沟通力等21世纪能力。
Kevin Hsu is a mathematician, programmer, designer, and educator. As an alumni of Stanford University specializing in Learning, Design, and Technology (M.Sc.), his studies focus on STEAM education and learning game design. Kevin has extensive experience with the d.school and the GSE Maker Space at Stanford University, and have been teaching a variety of STEAM courses at various international schools. 
Kevin Hsu is also the co-founder of Single Effect Studios, a game company that focuses on using games to develop students' 21st-century skills such as leadership, and communication skills.

张侨平,香港中文大学哲学博士。现为香港教育大学数学与资讯科技学系助理教授,博士生导师,数学及教学文学硕士课程主任。香港教育局课程发展议会数学教育委员会委员、基本能力评估及评估素养统筹委员会委员。张博士亦在多次数学教育国际会议(如PME,ICME)中作为专题小组成员做出贡献。
张博士主要从事与数学教育相关的教学和研究工作,研究兴趣包括数学教师教育、数教育中的情意、数学课程改革和教科书分析以及学生数学问题解决。研究对象包括中小学数学教师和大学中的职前和在职教师。研究成果在国际和地区不同的专业学术期刊和书籍得到发表。
Dr. Qiaoping Zhang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics and Information Technology, at the Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK). Currently, he is the Programme Leader of the Master of Arts in Mathematics and Pedagogy at EdUHK. He also serves as a member of the Curriculum Development Council Committee on Mathematics Education and a member of the Coordinating Committee on Basic Competency and Assessment Literacy in the Hong Kong Education Bureau. He has been invited as the Plenary Panelist at the PME-42 (Umeå, Sweden), and as a TSG member in ICME-13 (Hamburg, 
Germany), ICME -14 (Shanghai, China), and ICME -15 (Sydney, Australia).
Dr. Zhang received his PhD from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. His research interests and publications are mainly related to mathematics teacher education, affect in mathematics education, curriculum reform and textbook analysis and students’ mathematical problem-solving. Research subjects include teachers and students in primary and secondary schools as well as pre-service and in-service teachers in universities. Research findings have been published in different refereed journals or books internationally and regionally.

    teamLab (f. 2001) is an international art collective. Their collaborative practice seeks to navigate the confluence of art, science, technology, and the natural world. Amy Xu graduated from Berklee College of Music with a bachelors degree in Professional Music concentrating in  Music Technology and a masters degree from Harvard Graduate School of Education with a focus on human development and education. She has worked on various interdisciplinary projects for students of different ages at Acalab. Her educational research focuses on music education and music-related interdisciplinary projects.

Anita Lee received her masters and bachelors degrees from Harvard University and The University of British Columbia specializing in music performance, linguistics, and education. Her research focuses on providing underserved children with quality and sustainable access to music learning and performance opportunities. She has worked in Canada, the U.S., Sweden, Japan, Taiwan, Nepal, and is currently a faculty at The Juilliard School (China campus).
