Counseling Services offers one-on-one Support Sessions for CUIMC students who may want to speak with a clinician during this stressful time of war, violence, and political uncertainty. 24/7 counseling support for CUIMC students is available via chat and phone through CUIMC My SSP here:

2021年报税季(2022年2月至4月)即将接近尾声,还没报税的同学请尽快准备。在学生通过ISSO官网登录Sprintax后,ISSO将承担持有F/J类签证的国际学生学者的联邦非居民申报费用。
Springtax还将为持F/J类签证的哥大国际学生学者举办两场线上税务工作坊。

ISSO has partnered with Sprintax, a tax preparation software for nonresident federal and state tax return preparation. ISSO covers the cost of federal nonresident returns for students and scholars in F and J status when they login to Sprintax from this webpage.

Sprintax will host tax webinars to provide information on the nonresident tax filing process for Columbia international students and scholars in F/J status.

If you are completing your program at the end of the spring semester (Congratulations!), and are interested in pursuing employment in the U.S. it's time to learn about the Optional Practical Training (OPT) for F-1 status and Academic Training (AT) for J-1 status. Start your preparation early!
OPT is a benefit and extension of F-1 student status that allows you to work in your field of study for up to 12 months and is authorized by USCIS, the immigration agency.

Academic Training is a benefit of J-1 student status that allows you to work —either paid or unpaid — for the purpose of applying knowledge and skills learned during your program of study.

出境前,请检查你的I-20/DS-2019表格上的旅行签名是否在你计划返美当天有效,如果你需要新的签名,请重新打印I-20/DS-2019表格。

If you are traveling abroad during spring break, make sure to check Covid-19 guidelines of your destinations and have the documentation you will need when you return.
Check if the travel signature on your I-20/DS-2019 is up to date and valid on the day you plan to re-enter the U.S and get a reprint if you need a new signature.
