Summary
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Build new high impact features in the Wish Android app. Solely own the feature from scratch to post release.
  • Work closely with product managers, designers and data teams to design and drive the direction of a feature. Give valuable feedback, review experiment findings, and share new ideas.
  • Write beautiful and reusable Android code and the API endpoint to accompany it with
  • Make important coding architecture decisions and participate in code reviews. Refactor the code to use best practices if necessary.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience developing native Android applications in Java or Kotlin is required.
  • Experience with Python and MongoDB are a big plus.
  • Interested in end-to-end feature development from design to execution.
  • Data-driven mindset.
  • Strong understanding of the whole engineering stack and how each piece fits into the whole.
  • Focused, driven and can get challenging projects across the finish line.
  • Learns quickly and is willing to take calculated risk.

  • Craft clear, enticing, and user-centric UX writing flows for the Wish consumer app
  • Use data and user research insights to write content that enriches the experience of over 500 million Wish users.
  • Build upon and help maintain adherence to our product style guide.
  • Learn with and work closely with the product team including other UX writers, product designers, product managers, engineers, and data scientists.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Solid writing portfolio.
  • Pursuing a degree in a related field or recently graduated.
