In this vibrant season of growth, exciting developments are underway! On March 17th, YueCheng Courtyard Kindergarten will host its first open house of the Dragon Year. We warmly invite families with preschoolers to join us, explore our lively courtyard atmosphere, and witness the children's energy and vitality. 

This open house will feature small-group sessions tailored for parents and children. Parents will have the opportunity to attend an enrollment briefing led by the principal and take a guided tour of our campus. Meanwhile, children and parents together can engage the investigative playing activities with the teachers, exploring the diverse learning opportunities we offer. They will also get to climb onto our floating roof to experience our unique environment and immerse themselves in our reading area. Admission officers will be on hand throughout the day, including a dedicated Q&A session for any enrollment inquiries.

While the sight of "good education" may elude many, the image of "happy children" is unmistakable — with a twinkle in their eyes, dreams in their hearts, and paths ahead of them. It's not difficult to walk alongside a child as they grow, nor is it challenging to support their journey. Throughout our five years of operation, YueCheng Courtyard Kindergarten has steadfastly placed the cultivation of "happy children" at the forefront. 

In this environment, there are no "limits" – the realm of play and exploration is boundless, unrestricted by physical barriers. Each game and educational endeavor surpasses the confines of specific subjects, fostering open communication between children, teachers, parents, and the school community. There are no "restrictions" – children are empowered to voice themselves, select activities that resonate with them, and even opt out of naptime should they choose. There are no "penalties for trial and error" – children are urged to boldly experiment, with mistakes regarded as invaluable learning opportunities. 

What we offer is this: children are "respected," "seen," "acknowledged," and "supported." We hold firm in the belief that every child is a natural learner, and we are confident that each child can blossom into a self-assured, courageous, and uniquely authentic individual. 

The Beijing courtyard, a perfect fusion of traditional Chinese philosophy and aesthetics, stands as a timeless monument to history and culture. YueCheng Courtyard Kindergarten achieves a harmonious blend of classical courtyard design and modern architecture. The floating rooftop playground above the traditional courtyard, bridges the gap between education, architecture, history, and culture. Every brick, tile, wood, and flower in the courtyard serves as a canvas for children to explore and experience—welcoming cherry blossoms in spring, cicada songs in summer, crimson leaves in autumn, and playful snowflakes in winter. 

Within this courtyard infused with traditional cultural genes, children experience an "unconventional" form of education and teaching. The dedication to an "education before architecture" approach has transformed this space into another learning realm, following in the footsteps of Beijing City International School and its Early Childhood Center. The kindergarten's "boundaryless" educational concept not only breaks down physical walls but also brings to life an experiential learning method where play and study intertwine. Children's intrinsic drive for exploration and active engagement becomes the catalyst for generative curriculum ideas. This approach also fosters interconnectedness and interaction between the school and families. 

In this "traditional" space, an "unconventional" form of education thrives, where children are encouraged to explore, discover, and create their own learning paths. 

The crucial difference between Chinese children and those whose native language is English lies in the "language environment." Listening, speaking, reading, and writing are not just the sequence for learning Chinese, but also the key order for acquiring English. Our main classroom teachers come from English-speaking countries, providing a full-day immersive learning experience for the children. Moreover, to ensure each child's English language development, our teaching team has devised clear and specific developmental goals and teaching methods: 

Ages 2-3: Children listen to and imitate sounds from their daily environment, absorbing basic everyday language in authentic settings to exercise and develop their abilities in sound recognition and imitation. 

Ages 3 and above: Learning the correspondence between phonemes and graphemes, focusing on using English to express personal needs and ideas, as well as engaging in basic English communication. 

Ages 5-6: Advancing language development through scenario activities, including pronunciation, spelling, writing, everyday conversations, academic language, and building a systematic language framework. 

The children's achievements in English are showcased through diverse methods such as writing, drawing, games, or reading. This ensures that learning is deeply understood and reinforced through practical application, allowing for transferable and sustainable learning abilities.
