Which right path for data export to choose, how to apply data export in a compliant manner, and how to conduct data export in a safe and compliant way are the hot topics for enterprises that need to comply with Chinese rules of data outbound transfers, especially for Chinese companies with global business and foreign companies with business in China that involve cross-border business and cross-border data. As one of the Series on International Data Cross-Border Rules, this White Paper analyzes the key points of data outbound transfers compliance in the innovative form of compliance Q&As and is supplemented with practical exercises in common scenarios of enterprise data outbound transfers, with a view to providing intuitive and concise working guidelines for enterprises intending to transfer the data outbound and assisting them in realizing the safe and orderly cross-border flow of data.

In the face of the choice of outbound data transfer paths, we respectively take three paths as the axis, addressing the issues and conducting analyses for each path one by one. We have summarized 30 common questions along with 10 typical cases, presented in a Q&A format supplemented by practical exercises. By analyzing and interpreting the regulations and policies, as well as exploring common scenarios in outbound data transfers, we provide guidance for enterprises on choice of the right paths, and help them to find a way out of the regulation.
