在校家庭的反馈是对学校办学水平的很好见证。在11月底，学校刚刚举办了校内家长课堂观摩日，在为期两天的活动中，学校开放中文、数学、英文、STEAM、音乐、艺术、舞蹈、体育、物理、化学、商业研究等多个课堂供在校家长们观摩。
在顺义诺德安达，学校采用基于文学体裁的英语学习方式。这种方式以各类文学体裁作品作为支撑，每一个单元都会聚焦一部作品，通过阅读和深度讨论激发学习兴趣。在此基础上，教师们会进一步让学生们讨论自己对文章的理解，在语境中了解单词、语法、句式等知识点。
在学校的英文课堂中，家长们直观地感受到了这种教学方法对学生英文能力的提升。“没想到孩子已经可以读这么深奥的英文原著了”；“刚从公立转来，担心孩子不敢参与英文讨论，今看到了他课堂发言，感觉安心了许多”；“老师对知识点引入的特别好，孩子课堂兴趣很高”。在观摩后家长们纷纷给出了优秀的评价。
表演艺术是顺义诺德安达的教学特色之一。在过去的一年里，学校举办了“回忆之旅”年终汇演、“小义国际音乐节”等活动，顺义诺校学子们也参加了“诺德安达全球校园舞蹈挑战赛”。
在开放日活动中，受到孩子们喜爱的音乐教师“Mr.O”带领4年级学生学习怎样通过各种乐器来表达感受与内心世界。舞蹈课堂上，在教师的引导下，学生们努力地加深基本功，锻炼专业的舞蹈能力。
观摩日中，在校生家长们走进了课堂，直观地感受孩子们真实的课堂学习情况，化解了很多由于不了解孩子在校情况所产生的焦虑，对学校的教学也更为放心。
同样在近期，学校也举办了针对有住校需求家庭的开放活动。顺义诺德安达为寄宿生提供了一流的寄宿环境，学校4人间的宿舍采光充足、环境温馨舒适。
空调、空气净化器、24小时热水等都是每个宿舍的标配。学校也为寄宿生们开辟了公共空间与运动设施，在这里孩子们可以休息、阅读、锻炼、社交，学校体育馆等设施也向学生们开放。
学校聘请了专业的外方舍监来管理孩子们的寄宿生活，晚自习时有老师专门负责解答学生的课业疑问。
在明确的寄宿管理体系下，当看到了孩子们在“第二个家”中快乐地成长，家长们减少了很多对寄宿的担忧，也理解了寄宿对于培养孩子优秀的时间管理能力、自主学习能力、自理能力、社交沟通能力、团队协作意识的巨大帮助。

LISTEN TO WHAT OUR PARENTS SAY ABOUT OUR HIGH-STANDARD OF GLOBAL EDUCATION
The feedback from our current families is a great testimony to our first-class education. 
At the end of November, we had a two-day Open House for our parents. They observed our Chinese, Maths, English, STEAM, Music, Art, Dance, PE, Physics, Chemistry and Business Studies classes.
In NAE schools, we use a genre-based approach to teaching English. Each unit focuses on a particular genre. It stimulates students' interest through reading and discussion. Students then talk about their understanding of the features of the text type,learning how to reconstruct these into their own writing piece, using appropriate vocabulary, grammar and phrases.
When the parents observed the English classes, they saw how this method helped the students to improve their English skills. Parents' testimonies were:
“I couldn't believe our children could read English literature in such depth!”
“My child had just moved from a public school and I was worried that he wouldn't be brave enough for discussions. However, I felt so satisfied and confident after listening to his presentation”. 
“The teacher did a good job of introducing the topic and all the children were very engaged.”
Performing Arts is one of the highlights of NAS Beijing, Shunyi. Last year, the school organised events such as the Journey of Memories End-of-year Gala, the Xiaoyi International Music Festival, and dance competitions between different NAE schools.
During the Open Day, Mr. O, the children's favorite music teacher, led the Grade 2 children to learn how to express their feelings through various musical instruments. In the dance class, the children worked hard to deepen their basic skills under the guidance of the teacher and to develop their dancing ability.
During the Open House, parents of current students entered the classrooms to experience how their children learn, which relieved a lot of anxiety caused by not knowing what their children were doing in school and made them feel more at ease with our quality of teaching.
The school also organised an Open Day for prospective boarders and their families, where they could experience our first-class boarding environment, with cosy, and comfortable four-bed dormitories. 
They also have air-conditioning, air purifiers, and 24-hour hot water in every boarding house. The school has also opened up common spaces and sports facilities for boarders where children can rest, read, exercise, and socialize. Facilities, like the school gym are open to students in the evenings.
The school also employs international housemasters to manage the children's boarding life, and there are teachers to answer students' questions about their schoolwork during the evening study sessions.
Under the boarding house management scheme, when parents see their children growing up happily in the "home away from home", they become less worried about boarding, and they also understand that boarding is of great help in cultivating their children's time-management, independent learning, self-care, social communication, and teamwork skills.
Our school values the characteristics of openness and honesty with parents. We believe that our educational environment speaks for itself and that developing our parents’ understanding of daily school life helps to foster mutual understanding and appreciation between home and school.
