在这个感恩的答谢会上, LexArt 艺术中心全面开放，为义工们准备了一场别开生面的艺术体验，让大家亲身感受艺术的魅力。

在木工制作工作室的一角，摆放着各种丰富的手工艺材料，等待着义工们的探索和创造。在陶艺作坊，专业的陶瓷艺术家会在一旁耐心演示，分享陶艺的技巧和心得。义工们可以近距离观摩，了解陶瓷制作的艺术精髓. 在展廊里，专业摄影师手把手传授iPhone 摄影技巧技能。在编织活动间见证布艺艺术品的诞生，同时感受到当地文化的独特魅力。这是一次与艺术家近距离交流的难得经历，更让大家在艺术的氛围中感受到团结和创造的乐趣。

典礼会场布置着一幅幅义工们在社区中辛勤付出的画面，通过艺术的方式表达对他们的感激之情。音乐响起，一场精彩的文艺演出拉开了序幕，展现了义工们在过去一年中所创造的丰硕成果。

热烈祝贺所有获得总统义工奖的青少年们，正是有了你们的默默奉献，我们才能够看到社会的美好变化。感谢你们播下了希望和奉献的种子，感谢你们为社区带来的正能量，感谢你们为这片社区的热心奉献点亮一盏明灯！

Woodworking

Button take-home Workshop

LexArt artists Palo Coleman and Xueguang are doing an open make-and-take bworkshop for the teens. Teens will be able to use a traditional Chinese hand saw to drill holes in their own hand crafted wooden buttons.

Palo will be assisted by traditional tool maker and LexArt instructor Xueguang Lu.

About Palo Coloman

Palo Coleman grew up in Northern California where he spent a lot of time in the woods, taught himself building skills and developed an interest in small-scale living. Now living with his wife and family in Cambridge, he continues to experiment in myriad woodworking techniques and is a tiny-house builder. Past projects include a living playground in Waitsfield, Vermont’s elementary school; making a vertical garden system; constructing medieval games for the Fuller Craft Museum; and developing a portable studio with Japanese-wood siding. He has an obsession with how things work and are put together, and he likes to bring that obsession into the classroom and woodworking shop.

About Xueguang Lyu

Xueguang Lyu grew up in China and is a student of Master Lu Ban. Taking a great interest in traditional woodworking, he graduated from the Mortise and Tenon Apprenticeship (of Sedgwick, ME) with the Journeyman's Award. Living in Winchester with his wife and family, he now produces fine woodworking hand tools through his company Zen-Wu Toolworks.

iPhone Photography Class with Nicole Mordecai

Time: 2:00 - 3:00PM

Two Sessions：30 minutes per session

Nicole Mordecai

Nicole Mordecai is a photographer based in Weston, MA and a member of the LexArt Board of Directors. She creates art photography including images of reflections and nature. She often uses special effects to create otherworldly images. In addition to art photography, Nicole works with clients to document community events, create images for their online presence, or capture candid family, pet, and sports photos. She teaches basic photography skills, tabletop studio photography, photo editing, and creative iPhone photography. For more details, visit her website at CreateWithPhotos.com. Prior to taking up photography, Nicole had a long career in the software industry and was awarded 7 US patents.

Ceramics with Elise Avolio & Chin Lin

About Elise Avolio

Elise Avolio recently joined LexArt as a second Ceramic Studio Manager. She graduated from UMass Amherst last year with a BFA in ceramics. Elise is a mulidispany artist with a passion for color. Her oil portraits and abstract ceramic sculptures all utilize bold colors. When she's not working on her art Elise enjoys spending time with her friends and family and being outdoors.

About Chin Lin

Chin Lin started pottery in the early 1980's. In addition to teaching at LexArt, he has taught pottery classes at MIT Student Arts Association, Ceramics Studio at UC Berkeley as well as Sorenson Center for the Arts at Babson College over the last thirty years. Chin is a registered architect by training but his art work has been accepted in the American Craft Council's flagship show at Baltimore for both wholesale and retail shows. At LexArt, he is known for making large forms.
