每个制作人都有个纯硬件的梦想，至少对于卧室制作人来说是这样的。相比于使用DAW进行Live表演，纯硬件的Live表演的好处也很多，第一点就是延迟的问题，很多制作人不管是在现场录入音频轨道，还是MIDI轨道，如果对延迟有要求的话，很多时候都会牺牲掉很多合成器的运用，对于他们来说，电子音乐的灵魂是音色，二次进阶则是实时的混音和母带，如果是用DAW的话，数字合成器以及效果器的叠加会导致延迟的叠加，其后果是比较可怕的。而纯硬件则没有这个烦恼，而且不知道为何，纯硬件的模拟合成器与同款的数字合成器相比，其模拟出来的音色要更加饱满好听，与DAW Live相比提高了不少档次。
