今天我们来阅读 The Alchemist的Part I 的1和2两个章节。第两个章节讲的是牧羊少年Santiago普通的一天，看看羊、读读书、思考一下人生，以及他从去年开始一个小心思——一个姑娘。他回忆起自己去年和姑娘相遇的经历。是在一家干货店dry goods shop 遇见姑娘的，她是那个店主的女儿。她有着丝滑的乌黑秀发 flowing black hair, 明亮的酷似摩尔人的眼睛bright Moorish eyes。因为这个经历，他有个一个从来没有过的冲动：the desire to live in one place forever. 在一个地方住一辈子。对一个四处流浪的牧羊人来说，这的确是件前所未有的事哈。
这两个章节中对于少年初恋心思描写得很细腻很有意思。我们等下会精讲一下其中一段。首先，请大家带着几个问题阅读这两个章节。

精读选段
He went on telling stories about his travels, and her bright, Moorish eyes went wide with fear and surprise. As the time passed, the boy found himself wishing that the day would never end, that her father would stay busy and keep him waiting for three days. He recognized that he was feeling something he had never experieced before: the desire to live in one place forever. With the girl with raven hair, his days would never be the same again.
他继续讲述他的旅行故事，女孩那双明亮的酷似摩尔人的眼睛睁得大大的，充满了恐惧和惊讶。随着时间的流逝，男孩发现自己希望这一天永远不会结束，她的父亲会一直很忙，让他等上三天。他感觉到自己正生起一种过去从未有过的冲动：永远定居在一个地方。和这个黑发女孩在一起，每天都会是新的。
