Summary
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Solve complex problems, applying appropriate technologies and best practices
  • Work with your team to invent, design, and build systems that are stable and performant
  • Consider the legacy of the systems you produce, how they will scale, and limit the use of short-term workarounds. Make appropriate trade-offs, re-use where possible, and are judicious about introducing dependencies
  • Identify patterns that affect the performance, reliability, or availability of a product or service and drive them out of the system through automation or other technical innovation
  • Collaborate with Studio IT and PlayStation Studios on how systems are constructed, how they operate, scale, and how secure they are
  • Provide insight to engineers that operate in different domains (e.g., software, hardware, security, and networking) in how their part interacts with others to form a system
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with open-source technologies
  • Excellence in technical communications with both technical and non-technical peers
  • Experience with maintaining distributed systems and web services
  • Expertise with SQL and NoSQL databases such as MySQL, MongoDB, or Redis
  • In-depth knowledge in RESTful API design and implementation
  • Experience with Container technology such as Kubernetes, or Docker
  • Knowledge in the development of high-performance and fault-tolerant systems
  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
  • Passion and experience in Systems and Network Administration, DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering
  • Development experience with languages such as Scala, Java, Ruby, C++, or GoLang
  • Experience in automation, testing or monitoring framework development
  • Experience with agile software development practices
  • Experience with engineering best practices such as CI/CD
  • Understanding of design for scalability, performance and reliability
  • Experience or knowledgeable with configuration management systems such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
  • Experience or knowledgeable with monitoring tools such as Sensu, Zabbix, or Prometheus
  • Experience or knowledgeable with Cloud infrastructures such as OpenStack, AWS, Google, or Azure

Summary
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop, maintain and optimize automated deployment of data warehouse tools and Services in AWS
  • Operationalize and optimize all aspects of the operations, release and deployment processes leveraging cloud native solutions
  • Develop self-service capabilities for our Services - i.e. UX or API based consumption of our Services, vs human driven fulfillment of requests
  • Develop automated tests to improve and measure quality
  • Improve operational monitoring to collect and trend new KPI (performance indicators

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience with automation and configuration management tools such as Ansible or Chef
  • Experience with public cloud services and deployments is a must, preferably AWS
  • Strong development experience in one of these languages – Python or Java
  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle
  • Experience integrating Open Source tools
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex issues in an enterprise, distributed-services ecosystem
  • Experienced user of one or more source code management tools, preferably Git
  • Should have experience in developing tools for system configuration, deployment, and monitoring

  • Help craft a better design system for all of PlayStation designers to follow
  • Produce low and high fidelity interactive prototypes to prove out concepts
  • Build flows, wireframes and interactive models and the corresponding documentation
  • Apply design patterns, processes, and tools
  • Perform design audits and analysis
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree, and/or within 1 year of their post-graduation date
  • Focus of study in Interactive, Visual or Product Design, Human Factors or equivalent experience
  • A portfolio that showcases, thoughtful, simple, deliberate intuitive design, with extraordinary interaction, motion, and visuals
  • Working knowledge of design tools (e.g. Sketch, Photoshop, etc.) for wireframing and high-fidelity mockups
  • Ability to improve and expand existing design systems/components
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, work independently, prioritize, and stay focused in an agile environment
  • Experience conducting testing and heuristic analysis is a plus
  • Experience with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Android Studio, etc. is a plus
