Summary
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Utilize a variety of software solutions to extract and rationalize data to Bloomberg taxonomies
  • Analyze internal processes to identify opportunities for improvement, as well as devise and implement innovative solutions
  • Implement business rules for programmatic data validation by codifying market conventions and/or data relationships
  • Design and manage workflow configurations for critical functions such as acquisition, worklist management, and quality control
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by generating ideas to improve our data products and/or associated processes and building prototypes to validate and illustrate requirements
  • Lead ad hoc projects to optimize processes and/or improve the quality of the data set         
  • Utilize statistics and data visualization skills to report on results of on-going operations and projects, as required           
  • Build subject matter expertise and technical skills to generate premium content, including data-driven news stories
  • Partner with a wide variety of stakeholders from Engineering to Sales on product development
  • Provide in-depth customer support for users of Bloomberg products such as the Professional Service, News, Enterprise Solutions, and Bloomberg Law by resolving inquiries in a timely manner
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Computer Science, Economics, or a related degree
  • 0 to 2 years of work/internship experience in data analysis, financial market research and/or information technology
  • A can-do attitude, and a very proactive approach to each day
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience interpreting financial statements; understanding of finance and accounting principles and procedures
  • Demonstrated experience using Python, SQL, or related languages
  • Effective project management skills and ability to prioritize tasks accordingly

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Attain in-depth knowledge of your assigned sector from company, industry, and credit perspectives
  • Leverage advanced data analysis activities to effectively manage high quality coverage for portfolio of companies
  • Create and maintain company financial models leveraging Bloomberg proprietary applications
  • Facilitate communication across teams and products to assure data alignment
  • Produce research and analysis on a specific company within your sector and present to the Bloomberg Intelligence management team
    Manage industry specific projects to ensure that deliverables are met, including identifying projects, delegating responsibilities to peers, and communicating to related stakeholders
  • Identify current gaps and working with stakeholders to onboard new data sets
  • Contribute to BI research content, including charting and visual support

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Begin with a week of classroom based finncial product and Terminal functionality training, to broaden your knowledge of the global financial markets and our market leading Bloomberg solutions.
  • Join a team and immediately begin collaborating with Financial Research Data Analysts and other interns.
  • Work closely with Bloomberg Intelligence Analysts, making valuable contributions by taking part in data analysis, financial modeling, research and potentially helping the team initiate new coverage areas.
  • Hands-on individual and group projects will allow you to experience how your full-time career could evolve.

  • Attend lunch and learn sessions, designed to teach you about our diversified group, and there will be plenty of opportunity to meet Bloomberg leaders at a variety of networking events.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Are currently enrolled in a university with a graduation date of December 2022 or May 2023
  • Are available to work the whole duration of 10 weeks from June 6th - August 12th
