Summary
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build scalable microservices that are responsible for reliable and secure APIs that transfer value & assets across all blockchain protocols as well as traditional banking protocols.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • 1+ years of professional software development experience (including internships) in object oriented languages like Java and Go.
  • Experience with payment systems like credit cards and bank transfers
  • A broad understanding of API design and REST principles
  • Experience with Cloud Services (AWS, Google Cloud, Microsoft Azure, etc)
  • Experience with SQL databases and designing schemas
  • Experience in the deployment of production-quality, scalable software
  • A focus on coding standards and code quality -- a desire to have great test coverage to enable continuous delivery
  • Excellent communication skills, able to collaborate with remote teams, share ideas and present concepts effectively

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Create text-based classification algorithms to help improve customer experience across a range of products offered by Circle.
  • Create machine-learned predictive models that guide our fraud prevention and compliance
  • Become an expert on data sources and flows at Circle, including Bitcoin blockchain analysis
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Tech Ops teams to optimize and simplify the deployment and upgrade process for the models your team builds
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • MS or PhD with dissertation in a topic related to data science such as machine learning, linear models and so on
  • Strong communication skills to explain insights/models in an understandable way to non-experts, in both formal presentation and informal group conversations
  • Some experience or coursework applying basic ML to a type of data and or used algorithms to conduct experiments on data. Machine Learning is strongly encouraged 
  • Expertise with a scripting language (e.g. Python)
  • Knowledge of SQL
