Summary
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist with building and maintaining Zoom product features and services.
  • Build, deploy and upgrade our real time compute infrastructure.
  • Design and implement features to improve our systems.
  • Connect with customers to understand their goals and needs and translate those into solutions our team can deliver.
  • Configure tooling for systems scalability, ensure we have capacity for future growth.
  • Ensure our systems are continuously monitored and running efficiently with a consistent, unified experience across products, platforms, and devices.
  • Test current algorithms and write testing documents.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders across the business to drive the delivery of features, processes and happiness.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Undergrad, grad, or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related STEM field.
  • Graduate between December 2020 and September 2021 or be on track to earn their Bachelors or Masters or Ph.D. prior to the role start date.
  • 0-3 years of coding experience preferably in C/C++, Python and/or Java.
  • Self-starter, detail oriented, organized, team player.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Be part of a team whose focus to solve solving cutting edge AI problems and deploying models that constantly advance the state-of-the-art.
  • Work across various NLP areas like STT, translation, summarization, sentiment analysis, TTS, and other interesting challenges that are challenging at Zoom's scale.
  • Be one of the founding members of the team, and have a unique opportunity to research and drive the direction of our products.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science, or related fields.
  • Expertise in various facets of ML and NLP, such as Automatic Speech Recognition, Speaker recognition, Machine translation, TTS.
  • Experience in transformers, sequence-to-sequence models.
  • Extensive experience with ML frameworks, strong programming skills with proven experience delivering advanced algorithmic solutions.

  • Track record of driving ML research projects from start to finish. Including conception, problem definition, iteration, publication and productization.
