In response to the rapid acceleration of biodiversity loss and the growing impacts of climate change, the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration will be launched on World Environment Day 2021 (5 June 2021) led by FAO and UNEP. The #GenerationRestoration Youth Challenge is a global call for youth-led solutions to conserve and restore ecosystems. The Challenge covers conservation and restoration of all types of intact and degraded terrestrial and coastal ecosystems.

1t.org is part of the World Economic Forum’s efforts to accelerate nature-based solutions and was set up to support the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration. Its mission is to serve a global movement to conserve, restore and grow 1 trillion trees by 2030. 
挑战赛关注领域｜ 挑战赛将从环境影响力、社会经济影响力、青年领导影响力、启发程度、运作模式和规模化潜能五方面进行评估，要求生态创业者和年轻变革者至少在以下重点领域之一采取行动：
Submissions will be assessed against the following criteria: (1) Environmental impact, (2) Socio-economic impact, (3) Youth leadership and/or impact, (4) Inspirational impact, and (5) Operating model and potential for scale. The Challenge calls for impactful and inspiring solutions by ecopreneurs and young change-makers, taking action in at least one of the following focus areas:

    Successful Examples of Ecopreneurship: start-ups that have ecosystem conservation and restoration at the core of their business model and demonstrate how nature restoration and regeneration can go hand in hand with socio-economic benefits.
  • 青年能力建设：方案、项目和组织倡导跨学科和多元包容能力，发展生态创业的技能和知识，关注青年群体和青年专业人员的能力建设
    Capacity-building for Youth: initiatives, programmes and organisations that are championing interdisciplinary and inclusive capacity building for ecosystem conservation and restoration, as well as the development of ecopreneurship skills and knowledge, with a focus on capacity-building for youth and young professionals.
  • 支持、激发和参与：支持生态系统恢复的创新运动、项目和组织，树立保护生态系统的意识，激发全球青年和个人参与生态系统的恢复
    Advocacy, Inspiration, and Engagement: innovative campaigns, projects and organisations that inspire, build awareness and engage youth and individuals around the world for ecosystem restoration.

#GenerationRestoration Youth Challenge is accepting submissions from 16 April 2021 – 15 June 2021. Community-based initiatives, local projects, start-ups and social enterprises are welcome to apply. Please submit your application by scanning the QR code below (or click "Read More"). Each submission should have the potential for growth and a vision for achieving long-term financial viability and sustainability. The best 10-20 submissions will be invited to a 4-month cohort programme facilitated by 1t.org to help scale and advance their impact. This programme will include:
