Law of the People's Republic of China on Safeguarding National Security in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region
今天上午，国新办举行新闻发布会介绍香港特别行政区维护国家安全法有关情况，并回答记者问。
The State Council Information Office held a press conference about the law of safeguarding national security in Hong Kong on Wednesday morning.
会上，国务院港澳事务办公室副主任张晓明表示，（香港国安法）这部法律是香港繁荣稳定的“守护神”。
这部法律就是要惩治极少数严重危害国家安全（endanger national security）的犯罪分子，对他们高悬利剑，对干预香港事务的外部势力（external elements）形成震慑，充分保护绝大多数香港居民的生命财产安全和所享有的各种权利自由（various rights and freedoms），也包括充分保障在香港的外国投资者（foreign investors）的合法权益（legitimate rights），所以它将发挥香港繁荣稳定的“定海神针”的作用。
针对有国家声称，要对中方官员采取制裁措施，张晓明表示，这是强盗逻辑！我们现在制定的是中华人民共和国的一个地方行政区域的维护国家安全的法律，关你什么事，这完全是我们的内政。又没有招你惹你，凭什么动粗啊。
The sanctions other countries have threatened to impose on China for the implementation of the national security law in Hong Kong stem from the "logic of bandits", Zhang Xiaoming, deputy director of the State Council's Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office, said.

"What we have formulated is a law for safeguarding national security in a special administrative region of China. This is purely China's domestic affair," Zhang told a news conference in Beijing on Wednesday.
"There is no logic supporting those threats of sanctions. We didn't provoke anyone."
他说，香港人喜欢说两句口头语：“有冇（没有）搞错？”“关你咩（什么）事！”中国人看别人脸色、仰人鼻息的时代已经一去不复返了。
