“这是新冠病毒第19次暴发了！”美国白宫高级顾问凯莉安·康威在福克斯新闻的一档节目中，对新冠肺炎发表了一番迷之见解，在美国引发群嘲。她说，“这可是COVID-19，不是COVID-1。”美国脱口秀名嘴崔娃吐槽道：“我原本以为总统的高级顾问应该会知道，病毒之所以被称为COVID-19，是因为它始于2019年，而不是因为它是第19个新冠病毒。” 
Trevor Noah is baffled by the “bunch of idiots” handling the nation’s coronavirus lockdown, which has spread through the United States at an incomparable rate.
“The Daily Show” host was especially frustrated by White House adviser Kellyanne Conway, who repeated the erroneous right-wing claim that COVID-19 means there have been 18 other coronaviruses.
“His White House is a filled with a bunch of idiots,” Noah said of President Trump’s team. “I know that’s harsh, but I only say that because they are.”
Then he rolled video of Conway making her idiotic statement on Fox News, where misinformation about the pandemic has been problematic.
“This is COVID-19 not COVID-1 folks, so you would think that the people charged with the World Health Organization facts and figures would be on top of that,” Conway ranted.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, which is a federal agency, states on its website that ‘CO’ stands for ‘corona,’ ‘VI’ for ‘virus,’ and 'D' for disease. It also makes clear the ’19′ refers to 2019.
“You would think one of the president’s top advisers would know that its called COVID-19 because it started in 2019, not because it’s the 19th COVID,” Noah correctly stated.
The 36-year-old comic made a reference to the pop-punk band Blink-182, famous for the 1999 album “Enema of the State,” to illustrate his point.
“Does Kellyanne Conway also think they’re called Blink-182 because the first 181 were taken?” Noah joked.
Conservative conspiracy theorist and Presidential Medal of Freedom recipient Rush Limbaugh falsely told supporters last month that COVID-19 is the 19th coronavirus as well.
"Why do you think this is COVID-19?” he asked. "This is the 19th coronavirus. They’re not uncommon.”
Conway kept that misinformation alive during a Wednesday morning to “Fox & Friends,” which is one of the president’s favorite shows. Her appearance is part of the Trump administration’s media blitz to criticize the World Health Organization’s handling of the spreading pandemic in its early stages. Similar criticisms have been made against the administration.
Conway infamously coined the term “alternative facts” in 2017 to explain the information the White House gives to the public.
