别再挠头啦，“Don't leave house”隔离的英文这样说

前几天，一则“隔离用英文怎么说”的视频上了热搜，视频来自由上海市公安局和上海广播电视台携手合作，东方卫视和哔哩哔哩联合出品的全景式警务纪录片《派出所的故事》推出的三期抗疫特辑。

1. 做动词，be+...ed 被动

例句：

Epidemic prevention authorities in Wuhan, Hubei province, have issued a No 10 Notice, requiring suspected cases and their close contacts

be quarantined at

designated facilities for further medical observation.

2. 做名词

1）quarantine area （隔离区）

例句：

2) stay in quarantine （隔离）

3) under quarantine（在隔离中）

例句：

Cruise ship Diamond Princess under quarantine in Japan.

4) release from quarantine（解除隔离）

例句：

China Women’s National Football Team cleared for release from quarantine.

disinfect 消毒

消毒不要翻译成kill viruses，这个表达不规范。infect是感染和携带病菌的意思，dis是否定前缀，所以disinfect就是消毒。除了消灭医学病毒，disinfect还表示给电脑杀毒。

例句：

It is necessary to disinfect our rooms regularly.

定期给房间消毒是很有必要的。

contagious disease 传染病

外国人多用contagious8disease表示传染病，infectious 也是传染性的，但更强调动作，contagious更强调传染的性质，所以传染病用英语应该contagious disease。

例句：

The contagious disease is fearful,we d better stay at home recently.

这个传染病很可怕，我们近期最好还是呆在家里。

misinformation 不实信息

类似的词语还有

start a rumour 造谣

refute a rumour 辟谣

这种假消息用英语说就misinformation，谣言是rumour。大家要注意，造谣不是make a rumour，而是start a rumour，辟谣是refute a rumour。
