CYPN Storm is a club dragon boat team registered with ERDBA (Eastern regional Dragon Boat Association) based in the Boston area. This team was founded in the summer of 2015 by a group of young professionals who love competitive sports. In the past five years, we grew from a group of newbie paddlers to one of the top club teams in the country. 【为何加入我们? / Why CYPN Storm? 】
作为波士顿地区唯一一只直接晋级的队伍，我们为Storm即将参加法国举行的2020龙舟世界锦标赛感到无比自豪，2019年八月，CYPN Storm远赴Colorado 奋勇拼搏，披荆斩棘，成功跻身全国前三。取得如此成就并非是一朝一夕之幸运，而是有赖于多年来教练们不辞辛劳的指导，能力超群的各位队长们夜以继日的幕后忙碌， 更是所有队员们齐心协力一桨一桨搏回来的荣誉。
We are among the most competitive dragon boat teams based in Boston. Thanks to the performance of our Colorado team in last year’s US National Race, a selected group from our team will represent the United States in the 2020 Club Crew World Championships (CCWC) in France this year. With experienced coaches and dedicated team members, those looking for a challenging and rewarding paddling experience will fit right in.

【龙舟以外 / Outside Dragon Boat 】
在船上,我们是战友,一起奋战. 在船下, 我们便是一群爱吃爱喝爱玩爱笑的好伙伴. 我们训练、唱歌、训练、烤肉、训练、跳舞、训练......相信你也会在这里找到一群志同道合的好朋友!
We work hard, we also play hard. The battles we fought on the boat alongside each other have forged lifelong friendships and made us one big Storm family!
Entertainment and Travel outside of the dragon boat race. 龙舟之外的吃喝，旅游，采购，跳舞，健身等等。
【入队选拔测试 / Time and Place】
我们的招新测试将在二月一日和二日的早上十点到下午三点举行(周六周日)！如果你对加入我们的队伍有兴趣，请点击原文用Eventbrite注册！如果你有其他问题或无法在这两天参加，请邮件联系我们 [email protected]。如果注册后无法参加，请务必在48小时之前告诉我们!
Our recruitment event will be happening on February 1st and 2nd (Saturday and Sunday) from 10 AM to 3 PM. Please sign up in the Eventbrite for the time slot and complete the registration.  If you have any questions, or if you are unavailable that weekend but want to try out, please email us at [email protected]. We have limited spots so out of courtesy, if you are not able to come after you have registered, please let us know at least 48 hours before your trial time.
体能测试项目：
一分钟和两分钟的龙舟机(ERG)的划船测试，参考视频：
Push-up/Plank 挑战（男生: plank和push的混合挑战 e.g: 1 pushup, 10 seconds plank; 2 pushups, 10 seconds plank; 3 pushups...etc; 女生: Plank 计时挑战)
Tests:
ERG tests to measure distance paddled in 1 minute and 2 minutes. We will provide coaching at the try-outs. You can refer to the video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jshno7zzG1U) on what to expect. 
Push-up/plank challenge 
Guys: 1 pushup, 10 sec plank; 2 pushup, 10 sec plank, etc…
Girls: Plank time
Time Trial Day. 体能测试当天
【会员 / Membership】 
CYPN Storm 是以会员制的方式操作。会员每年缴150 美金的会员费，会员费包括从四月到九月的水上训练所提供的船只，设备， 驳船，保险，器械维护费用，以及教练们最有经验的指导等等。
If you are selected, members will pay an annual membership fee of $150 ($125 for student) for all water practices from the end of April until the end of September (including dock rental, boat, and equipment).
