Paul, an apostle--sent not from men nor by man, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him from the dead--and all the brothers with me, To the churches in Galatia: Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
1、who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age
rescue英 ['reskjuː] v.
rescue sb from从…
1、 Paul, an apostle--sent not from men nor by man

not …nor 既不……也不

e.g. I would not judge nor rebuke them.
I do not represent nor am I affiliated with any Government agency or financial product.

2、but by Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him from the dead

The sun rises in the east and sets in the west.

Prices rise every day in those countries.

The chairman rose from his chair.

Heavy rains raised the river.

We must raise the living standard of the people.

His speech raised my interest.

raise a family养家糊口

e.g.【Act 10:40】 but God raised him from the dead on the third day and caused him to be seen.
【徒 10:40】 第三日,神叫他复活,显现出来;

【Mat 14:2】 and he said to his attendants, "This is John the Baptist; he has risen from the dead! That is why miraculous powers are at work in him."

3、who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age.
e.g. They rescued the boy from danger.
The government has rescued the firm from bankruptcy by giving them a grant.

【Psm 18:17】 He rescued me from my powerful enemy, from my foes, who were too strong for me.
Amen.
