All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and creatures of the sea are being tamed and have been tamed by man, but no man can tame the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison. With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in God's likeness. Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers, this should not be. Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring? My brothers, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water.

1、All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and creatures of the sea are being tamed and have been tamed by man.
reptile英 ['reptaɪl] n.
creature英 ['kriːtʃə(r)] n.
tame英 [teɪm] v.
2、It is a restless evil, full of deadly poison.
restless英 ['restləs] adj.不安宁的;焦虑的;
deadly英 ['dedli] adj.
 poison英 ['pɔɪzn] n.毒药;毒害;
 3、My brothers, can a fig tree bear olives, or a grapevine bear figs? Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water.
bear英 [beə(r)] v.忍受;结果;证实;
grapevine英 ['ɡreɪpvaɪn] n.葡萄藤;葡萄树;
1、 All kinds of animals, birds, reptiles and creatures of the sea are being tamed and have been tamed by man
(1)与be动词一起构成现在进行时的被动语态(am/ is/ are being done)和过去进行时的被动语态(was/ were being done)。如:
e.g. The new houses are being painted.
When I went to pay him a visit, he was being examined by a doctor.
e.g. The meeting being held now is of great importance.
The meeting which is being held now is of great importance.
注意:being done,to be done与done均可作后置定语,其区别为:being done表示正在发生的被动动作;to be done表示将要发生的被动动作;而done表示已经发生的被动动作。如:
The house to be built here next year belongs to Fred.
The house built here last year belongs to Fred.
John hates being laughed at in public.
Do you mind being left alone at home.?
2、Neither can a salt spring produce fresh water.

e.g. You didn't see him, and neither did I.
If you do not go, neither shall I.
Just as I haven't good eyes, neither have my children.

The first one was not good, neither was the second one.
