做光做盐
弟兄姊妹们主内平安，今天我们分享的经文来自新约马太福音（Matthew5:13-16）
"You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men. "You are the light of the world. A city on a hill can not be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.
 “你们是世上的盐。盐若失了味，怎能叫它再咸呢？以后无用，不过丢在外面，被人践踏了。你们是世上的光。城造在山上，是不能隐藏的。人点灯，不放在斗底下，是放在灯台上，就照亮一家的人。你们的光也当这样照在人前，叫他们看见你们的好行为，便将荣耀归给你们在天上的父。”
一、我们先来熟悉一下这段经文
1、"You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again?

saltiness英 ['sɔ:ltinis]  n.含盐性

no longer 不再
throw out 扔出；
trample英 ['træmpl] v.践踏；轻视  过去式/过去分词: trampled 
3、Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.  
neither英 ['naɪðə(r)] adv.也不；既不
light英 [laɪt] v.点燃；照亮
lamp英 [læmp] n.灯；台灯；
bowl英 [bəʊl] n.碗；碗状物；
二.好，下面我们一起来看一下这段经文里的语法
1.It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men.
（1）no longer  =not ...any longer不再
用作副词表示时间上的“不再”，可用no longer, not…any longer, not…any more：
e.g. He knows that he is no longer young. 他知道自己不再年轻。
She could no longer go to school. 她不再能上学了。
I can’t wait any longer. 我不能再等了。
I just can’t stand this life any more. 我简直受不了这种生活。
We won’t have any more discussion about it. 我们将不再作更多讨论了。
（2）It is good for有利于
e.g. It is good for your English study. 这对你们的英语学习会很有帮助的！ 
It's nice to eat, and it is good for our health. 它很好吃，并且对身体有益。 
2、Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.
（1）neither通常用在句子（或简略答语）的开头，表示“也不”，其后要用倒装语序（即：将主语放在助动词、情态动词、连系动词be之后）。
neither+助动词/be动词/情态动词+主语=nor+助动词/be动词/情态动词+主语
用在否定句后，表示（另一个）主语也不……
如：
I don't like the place. 我不喜欢这个地方。
Neither do I（Neither do I like the place. ）我也不喜欢这个地方。
He is not a teacher. 他不是老师。
Neither is his wife.（Neither is his wife a teacher.）他的妻子也不是。
I will never leave the place. 我永远不会离开这个地方。
Neither will she.（Neither will she leave the place.）她也不会离开这个地方。
（2）Instead 副词 意思是代替；反而
（2.1）instead是副词,只能单独使用。基本意思是“代替”,可依据上下文灵活翻译,有时甚至干脆不译。 
（2.2）instead可位于句首,连接上下句。通常是上句先否定一种情况,再以instead引出下句,提出相反的情况。 
e.g. He didn't answer me. Instead, he asked me another question. 他没有回答我，反而问了我另一个问题。
We shouldn't look down upon them, instead we should try to help them and take more care of them.我们不仅不该歧视他们,反而更要多帮助、照顾他们。
（2.3）instead也可位于句末,可用于两个独立的句子,也可用于并列句的后一句中,还可用于带有状语从句的主句中,这时常译为“反之”,“相反”。
e.g. I'm tired and can't attend the meeting; you could go instead. 
我累了，不能去开会了，你可以代替我去。
If you can't sign your name, make a cross instead. 如果你不会签名画个十字来代替。
（2.4）instead of是短语介词,其后可接名词、代词、动名词,有时也可接形容词、动词不定式、介词短语等。instead of前后两部分的意思一般是一正一反,可灵活译为“(用…)代替…”“(是…)而不是…”“并非”“反而”等。 
e.g. I will take this book instead of that one. 我要这本书而不要那本。
We shall go downtown by bus instead of by bicycle. 我们将乘车,而不是骑车去市里。
Have I not often made you water my garden instead of studying? 
我不也是经常让你们到我的花园浇水以此代替学习吗？ 
最后让我们来一起再回顾一下这段经文：

世上的盐是指信徒在品格方面的影响。盐有防腐作用，表明信徒有责任防止社会落入败坏的景况中；盐也有调味的功能，显示信徒要帮助世人体会生命的真正价值。在罪恶控制下的人生，充满了无奈与痛苦；世人必须认识生命的另外一面，生活才有意义、有光彩。盐必须投入食物中，才能产生味道；同样，信徒也要投入人群中，藉着接触来影响社会、把世人带到主跟前。
不能发挥影响力的信徒，就像失了味的盐。古时的盐往往混有很多矿物质，当盐份失去而只余下杂质时，便淡然无味，只有被丢弃。没有影响效能的信徒也是如此。
世上的光是指信徒在行为方面的影响。在圣经中“光”代表真理和圣洁；信徒是光，表示他们不单只要传扬真理，也要有圣洁的生活见证。光的照射是无孔不入的，信徒的见证也不应局限于自己的家庭、团契和教会，乃要将影响力远达于社会、国家和整个世界。
我们来一起祈祷，亲爱的主耶稣，求主使我生活得像盐和光，能影响别人的生命；使我从心底里乐意遵行你的旨意，能在生活中荣耀主的名，奉耶稣的名祷告，阿们!
