弟兄姊妹们主内平安，今天我们分享的经文来自旧约耶利米书（Jeremiah31:31-34）
"The time is coming," declares the LORD, "when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah. It will not be like the covenant I made with their forefathers when I took them by the hand to lead them out of Egypt, because they broke my covenant, though I was a husband to them," declares the LORD. "This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time," declares the LORD. "I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. No longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying, 'Know the LORD,' because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest," declares the LORD. "For I will forgive their wickedness and will remember their sins no more."
耶和华说：“日子将到，我要与以色列家和犹大家另立新约。不像我拉着他们祖宗的手，领他们出埃及地的时候，与他们所立的约。我虽作他们的丈夫，他们却背了我的约。这是耶和华说的。耶和华说：那些日子以后，我与以色列家所立的约乃是这样：我要将我的律法放在他们里面，写在他们心上。我要作他们的神，他们要作我的子民。他们各人不再教导自己的邻舍和自己的弟兄说：‘你该认识耶和华。’因为他们从最小的到至大的，都必认识我。我要赦免他们的罪孽，不再记念他们的罪恶。这是耶和华说的。”
1、because they broke my covenant, though I was a husband to them," declares the LORD.
broke英 [brəʊk] v.打破(break的过去式和过去分词);折断
covenant英 ['kʌvənənt] n.[法律]契约条款;[宗教]誓约
declare英 [dɪ'kleə(r)] vt.申报;宣布;
2、because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest.
least 英 [li:st] adj.最小的;最少的（ little的最高级）;
from…to 从…到
the least of them 他们中最小的
greatest ['greɪtɪst] adj.最好的，最伟大的;( great的最高级 )
1、The time is coming.即将来临的时代/日子
这个句子是现在进行时表示将来的用法，现在进行时表将来是一种英语表达技巧，现在进行时除表进行外，还可以表示将来。
（1）它常表最近或较近的将来，所用动词多是转移动词。如：
（1.1）I’m going. 我要走了。
（1.2） I'm coming.我要来了。
（1.3）When are you starting?
你什么时候动身？
（2）表将来的现在进行时除用于转移动词外，亦可用于某些非转移动词。如：
(2.1) I’m meeting you after class.
课后我找你。
(2.2) What are you doing next Sunday?
下星期你打算干什么？
(2.3) She is buying a new bike soon.
她不久将买一辆新自行车。
另外，我们来看看，time前面加修饰词的用法，表示什么时刻/什么时代,如：
The last time is coming!
最后的时刻就要来到了。
With the advancement of society, the period of leisure time is coming.
随着社会的不断进步，休闲时代悄然来临，人类进入了休闲社会。
2、because they will all know me, from the least of them to the greatest
（1）least和greatest是形容词的最高级形式
e.g.
London is among the greatest cities of the world.
伦敦是世界上最大的城市之一。
I am the least of the saints and the chief of sinners.
我比众圣徒中最小的还小，我是罪人中的罪魁。
（2）from the least to the greatest从最小到最伟大
e.g.To whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, This man is the great power of God.
无论大小，都听从他，说，这人就是称为神的大能者。【徒8:10】
At this, all the people from the least to the greatest, together with the army officers, fled to Egypt for fear of the Babylonians.
于是众民，无论大小，连众军长。因为惧怕迦勒底人，都起身往埃及去了。【王下25：26】

为什么先知要宣告另一个新的约？有何意义呢？
这段经文讲到西奈山之约，就是神借着摩西领以色列人出埃及之后，与他们在西乃山所立的约，那时神亲手将律法写在石版上，向以色列人颁布十诫（出19：1，24：7-8），这也叫做摩西之约。但以色列人“却背了我的约”。
因此，耶利米先知在此预言，将来在新时代中，耶和华要另立一个永久的新约，是与前约不同的，神要亲自将律法写在人的心上，而不是石版上；人遵从律法不再是外在的规条，而是要从心里顺服；各人也不用再被教导去遵行律法，到那时每个人都亲自认识神的律法，并且认识神；人对神的恩惠和怜悯，会有切身乐意的领受，并自动产生感谢之心，涌出顺服和赞美之念，不再惧怕刑罚，而是完全活在神的爱中得以自由。这新约就是基督所做成的恩典之约。
新约的律法不再写在石版上，而是写在每个人的心里，让人可以与神建立一个独特而个人的亲密关系。耶利米预言并盼望主来立新约的那一天，而今天的我们已经有了这个新约，就是说我们有福气重新开始，与神建立一个永久的个人关系。我们把生命交给神，神就会将圣灵放在我们心中，使我们得新生命，在爱中得以自由。
