弟兄姊妹们主内平安,今天我们分享的经文来自新约提摩太后书(2 Timothy 1:8-12)
So do not be ashamed to testify about our Lord, or ashamed of me his prisoner. But join with me in suffering for the gospel, by the power of God, who has saved us and called us to a holy life--not because of anything we have done but because of his own purpose and grace. This grace was given us in Christ Jesus before the beginning of time, but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel. And of this gospel I was appointed a herald and an apostle and a teacher. That is why I am suffering as I am. Yet I am not ashamed, because I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him for that day.
 你不要以给我们的主作见证为耻,也不要以我这为主被囚的为耻。总要按神的能力,与我为福音同受苦难。神救了我们,以圣召召我们,不是按我们的行为,乃是按他的旨意和恩典。这恩典是万古之先在基督耶稣里赐给我们的。但如今藉着我们救主基督耶稣的显现才表明出来了。他已经把死废去,藉着福音,将不能坏的生命彰显出来。我为这福音奉派作传道的,作使徒,作师傅。为这缘故,我也受这些苦难,然而我不以为耻。因为知道我所信的是谁,也深信他能保全我所交付他的(或作“他所交托我的”),直到那日。

我们先熟悉一下这段经文
1、 So do not be ashamed to testify about our Lord, or ashamed of me his prisoner.  
ashamed英 [ə'ʃeɪmd] adj.感到惭愧的;感到害臊的
testify英 ['testɪfaɪ] v. 作证;证明;声明
prisoner英 ['prɪznə(r)]  n.囚犯
2、but it has now been revealed through the appearing of our Savior, Christ Jesus, who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel

3、And of this gospel I was appointed a herald and an apostle and a teacher.

4、 because I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him for that day.

我们一起看一下语
1、So do not be ashamed to testify about our Lord, or ashamed of me his prisoner.
ashamed形容词,惭愧的,羞愧的,难为情的。ashamed用作表语时, 常与介词of〔at〕或for搭配。介词不同,含义用法也不尽相同。(be) ashamed的后面还可以接that从句。
(1) be ashamed of v-ing, be ashamed to-v 羞耻,惭愧,害臊
ashamed可接动词不定式,也可接“of + 动名词”。一般说来,动词不定式所表示的动作是还未发生的,而动名词所表示的动作则是已发生的。例如:
She was ashamed to ask for help
.她耻于请求帮助。
She was ashamed of asking for help.
她为请求帮助而羞愧
The candidate was ashamed of his cheating in the English examination.
那考生为自己在英语考试中的作弊行为而感惭愧。
(2) be ashamed at羞耻,惭愧,害臊 ; be ashamed for因某事或做了某事而感到惭愧
e.g. I am ashamed at not writing you sooner.我为没有早日给你回信感到惭愧。
He is ashamed for his former dishonorable action.
他对他以前不光彩的行为感到羞愧。
(3) (be) ashamed + that从句。
He was ashamed that he had lied.
他很惭愧他说了谎。
2、 because I know whom I have believed
比较:whom和who的用法:两者均只用于人,从理论上说,who 为主格,whom为宾格:
e.g. Where’s the girl who sells the tickets? 
卖票的女孩在哪里?
The author whom you criticized in your review has written a letter in reply. 
你在评论中批评的那个作者已写了一封回信。
但实际上,除非在正式文体中,宾格关系代词 whom 往往省略不用,或用who或that代之:
The man (that, who, whom) you met just now is called Jim.
 你刚遇见的那个人叫吉姆。
不过,在以下几种情况值得注意:
(1). 直接跟在介词后面作宾语时,只能用 whom,而且不能省略
She brought with her three friends, none of whom I had ever met before. 
她带了3个朋友来,我以前都没见过。
(2). 引导非限制性定语从句且作宾语时,who 和 whom均可用,但以用 whom 为佳,此时也不能省略:
This is Jack, who [whom] you haven’t met before. 
这是杰克,你以前没见过。
3、and am convinced that he is able to guard what I have entrusted to him for that day. 
be able to能够做…事,比较be able to, can的用法
这两者都有“能”的意思。其区别在于:
(1) can还可表示“可以”“可能”,即具有某种感情色彩。例如:
Can I come in?
我可以进来吗?
That can't be true.
那不可能是真的。
以上两句都不可换用be able to。
(2) can只有现在时和过去时两种形式,而be able to则有多种时态形式。试比较下面两句:
Will you be able to come tomorrow?
你明天能来吗?(将来时)
This factory has been able to produce newly-devised sewing machines.
这家工厂已能生产新设计的缝纫机了。(完成时)

我们再回顾一下这段经文

一般人不以锁链为荣,锁链原是羞耻的记号,但是保罗却不以此为耻,反而以被囚的经历来勉励提摩太。生命的价值不在于它表面是否美丽,而在乎怎样活出生命的意义。
在第8节里,保罗勉励我们,不要因为主受苦而畏缩,总要靠神的力量,与主同受苦难(参二3)。保罗甘愿受捆锁的原因是什么呢?在9-10节里保罗引述对以弗所人所说的话--“我们得救是本乎神的恩典”(参弗二8)。人原本不配接受这份恩典,但神本着祂的慈爱,在万古之先,已定意藉着耶稣基督的救赎,将新生命赐给我们,使我们脱离罪和这朽坏的生命。
保罗在去大马士革的路上经历了神的恩典,由一个罪魁、一个敌基督的人转变成了为主竭力做见证的使徒,他深深感受到神的大能和神的伟大救恩。故此,保罗甘愿奉派作传道的,作使徒,作师傅,也不以为主被囚的为耻。因他深知身体虽然被囚,福音却永不会被捆锁;反而,福音因而更得释放(参腓一12~14)。无论身处什么景况,或遭遇重重压力,作为神的使者,传福音是生命的目标,为福音受苦是值得的。最可贵的是,保罗确知所信的是谁,也确知神必保守自己所交付祂的,并深知所传的,是祂所交付自己的。这是一种互相委托的关系。意思是保罗将一切(包括生命与事奉)交托给神,神亦托付保罗传福音的使命和教训,一直持守到底,直到主耶稣再来的日子。
我们一起来祷告,亲爱的主耶稣,我们感谢赞美你,你在十字架上的救恩成全了律法,彰显了你对我们的爱,你是爱我们,为我们舍己,你将新生命赐给我们,使我们脱离罪和这朽坏的生命,为此我们献上深深的感恩,求你教导我们怎样献上自己,持守圣道,勇于见证,荣耀主名,以上是奉耶稣的名祷告,阿们!
