弟兄姊妹们主内平安，今天我们分享的经文来自新约提摩太前书（1Timothy 6:11-16）
But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses. In the sight of God, who gives life to everything, and of Christ Jesus, who while testifying before Pontius Pilate made the good confession, I charge you to keep this command without spot or blame until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, which God will bring about in his own time--God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords, who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see. To him be honor and might forever. Amen.
但你这属神的人要逃避这些事，追求公义、敬虔、信心、爱心、忍耐、温柔。你要为真道打那美好的仗，持定永生。你为此被召，也在许多见证人面前已经作了那美好的见证。我在叫万物生活的神面前，并在向本丢彼拉多作过那美好见证的基督耶稣面前嘱咐你：要守这命令，毫不玷污，无可指责，直到我们的主耶稣基督显现。到了日期，那可称颂、独有权能的万王之王、万主之主，就是那独一不死，住在人不能靠近的光里，是人未曾看见，也是不能看见的，要将他显明出来。但愿尊贵和永远的权能都归给他。阿们！
1我们先来熟悉一下这段经文

flee from从…逃离; 避免
pursue英 [pə'sjuː] v. 追求；追捕；
endurance英 [ɪn'djʊərəns] n.忍耐；忍耐力；

take hold of握住；抓住

2下面我们看一下语法
1、Fight the good fight of the faith.   
fight,可作和动词，意思是：打架；对抗，在这个句子里，第一个fight是动词，第二个fight是名词。我们来看一下，fight作动词，和介词搭配的使用。
(1）fight against (v.+prep.) —fight against sb/sth/v-ing 与…作斗争〔争吵〕; 反对…
e.g Try to stop the children form fighting against each other.
别让孩子们在一起打架
Armed with raincoat and flashlight, he joined in the fight against the flood.
他穿上雨衣,带上手电, 加入了抗洪的战斗。
（2）fight for (v.+prep.)—fight for sb/sth为…而战斗
They fought for their country.
他们为祖国而战斗。
He called on workers to fight for their rights.
他号召工人们为得到应有的权利而斗争。
2、比较：fight against, fight with
（1） fight against和fight with的意思相仿,都表示“同…作战” “同…斗争 ”, 其后接动作的对象, 但fight against着重在困难中抵抗。例如:
You will have to fight against difficulties.
你必须克服困难。
We may fight against our own feelings or desires.
我们可能会克制自己的感情和欲望。
（2）fight with表示“用…作战”, 其后多接工具。例如:
In former times, people used to fight with swords.
早些时候, 人们用剑进行格斗。
2、I charge you to keep this command without spot or blame until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ.
charge 指责，指令S+～+ n./pron. +to- v
e.g. He charged me to send the letter.
他要我去寄信。
I charged her to take my books.
我责令她拿走我的书。
试比较: charge sb to-v, charge sb with v-ing
charge sb 后可接动词不定式,也可接“with+动名词”。前者是复合结构,后者是双宾语; 前者意为“责令某人做某事”,后者意为“指责某人做某事。”
I charged her to take the chair. 
我责令她拿走这把椅子。
I charged her with taking the chair. 
我指责她拿走了这把椅子。
3最后我们再回顾一下这段经文

提摩太这里被称为属神的人，这名称常在旧约里形容先知，描述在品格上似神的人。提摩太是一个属神的人，一个令人想到神和荣耀神的人。
在他为基督的事奉里，保罗嘱咐提摩太应逃避自高自大（4节）、不洁（5节）、不知足的心灵（6至8节）、无知有害的私欲（9节）和贪财（10节）。他应培养基督徒的品格──唯一能带进天堂的东西。这里基督徒品格为公义、敬虔、信心、爱心、忍耐、温柔。
公义讲述我们对我们的同伴要公平和正直；敬虔即是像神的意思；信心也可解作忠心或可靠；爱心讲述我们与神和与同伴之间的情谊；忍耐被定义为在试炼中坚定和持久；而温柔是一种仁慈和谦卑的性情。
 保罗教导提摩太不但要逃避和学习跟从，也要为真道打那美好的仗，在这场属灵竞赛中要跑得好，要持定永生。这不是指他要为救恩竞逐，这救恩已是他的囊中物。这里是要他在日常的生活中，将原本已属他的永生活出来。
使徒保罗现在将一个神圣庄严的责任--维护基督真理的命令交托给提摩太，而他也曾在两个最大的见证人面前作过这样的见证。首先，这见证是在叫万物生活的神面前作的(13节)。或者当写信给提摩太时，保罗意识到有一天他可能要为承认主耶稣而舍弃自己的生命。如果这样的话，记念神是那位唯一叫万物生活的主，会对这位年轻战士有好处。就算人杀了提摩太，但他的信心是在那位叫死人复活的主里面，这是不能夺去的。
第二，这见证是在基督耶稣面前作的(13节)，衪是那美好见证的最好榜样。在本丢彼拉多面前，耶稣基督作过那美好见证。虽然这可以指救主在罗马官员面前所说的话和作的行动，但是可能特别指衪在约翰福音十八章37节说的话：“我为此而生，也为此来到世间，特为给真理作见证；凡属真理的人，就听我的话。”这坦然的见证在提摩太面前展现，作为他为真理作见证的榜样。
在新约，我们的主耶稣基督显现是不断地摆在信徒面前的事实。我们在这世上对基督忠心，在基督的审判台前便得奖赏。这些奖赏到时就会在主耶稣再来时显明出来。那时候，忠心和不忠的人的结局将会清楚展现。
