Be Found in Jesus

(Philippians 3:7-11)

But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ -- the righteousness that comes from God and is by faith. I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead.

I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord .
Compare,动词,意思是比较;进行比较;相比,我们看一下compare搭配 to 和with两个短语的使用:compare to和compare with都可作“与…
Social life in a village cannot compare to〔with〕 that of a large city.
(用to和with都可)
The teacher compared my composition with that of another student.
Compared to many other women, she was really lucky.
Young people are often compared to the rising sun.
Nothing can compare with wool for warmth.
I now consider loss for the sake of Christ.
(1)for the sake of+n.
e.g. For the sake of your father's reputation, I forgive you.
He left home and worked in a big city for the sake of money.
e.g. I will defend this city for my sake and for the sake of my servant David.
And he said, I will not destroy it for ten's sake.
For pity's sake, please stop making so much noise.
3、I consider them rubbish
S+~+ n./pron. +(to be/as) n./adj.
e.g. They consider his older brother an honest man.
You surely can't consider him to be a selfish man.
I consider them rubbish.
I consider everything a loss .
But whatever was to my profit I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ--the righteousness that comes from God and is by faith.I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death, and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead.
