Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed--not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence--continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose. Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe as you hold out the word of life--in order that I may boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor for nothing. But even if I am being poured out like a drink offering on the sacrifice and service coming from your faith, I am glad and rejoice with all of you. So you too should be glad and rejoice with me.

这样看来，我亲爱的弟兄，你们既是常顺服的，不但我在你们那里，就是我如今不在你们那里，更是顺服的，就当恐惧战兢，作成你们得救的工夫；因为你们立志行事，都是神在你们心里运行，为要成就他的美意。凡所行的，都不要发怨言、起争论，使你们无可指摘，诚实无伪，在这弯曲悖谬的世代作神无瑕疵的儿女。你们显在这世代中，好像明光照耀，将生命的道表明出来，叫我在基督的日子好夸我没有空跑，也没有徒劳。我以你们的信心为供献的祭物，我若被浇奠在其上，也是喜乐，并且与你们众人一同喜乐；你们也要照样喜乐，并且与我一同喜乐。

1、not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence--continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling不但我在你们那里，就是我如今不在你们那里，更是顺服的，就当恐惧战兢，作成你们得救的工夫

2、for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.

因为你们立志行事，都是神在你们心里运行，为要成就他的美意。

3、Do everything without complaining or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure。

凡所行的，都不要发怨言、起争论，使你们无可指摘，诚实无伪

4、children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe

在这弯曲悖谬的世代作神无瑕疵的儿女,你们显在这世代中，好像明光照耀

5、as you hold out the word of life--in order that I may boast on the day of Christ that I did not run or labor for nothing.  

将生命的道表明出来，叫我在基督的日子好夸我没有空跑，也没有徒劳

这段经文保罗教导腓立比的信徒，无论我们做什么善行，都是神在我们心里运行，为要成就神的美意，因此我们没有什么可夸的，反而更应该尽心尽责、诚实无伪、无可指摘。

救恩的作成完全是神的功劳和恩典，我们人无法参与。不过救恩临到我们的时候，我们的灵经历圣灵的重生开始活过来，我们开始可以顺服圣灵，顺服神的旨意了。并且只有这些灵里活着的人，才有顺服圣灵的能力。

作为灵里重生得救的人，作为唯一有能力遵行神旨意的人，作为神的儿女的我们，当竭力用我们的生命、用我们的行为，来照亮这黑暗的世代、这弯曲悖谬的世代。我们不是明光，我们是反射神的光，但我们是反射体，好像镜子一样，让我们来洁净自己，以更好的反射神的荣光。
