弟兄姊妹们主内平安，今天我们分享的经文来自新约腓力比书2章3－5节（PHILIPPIANS 2:3-5）
Do nothingout of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus.
凡事不可结党，不可贪图虚浮的荣耀；只要存心谦卑，各人看别人比自己强。各人不要单顾自己的事，也要顾别人的事。你们当以基督耶稣的心为心
我们先来熟悉一下这段经文。
凡事不可结党，不可贪图虚浮的荣耀；
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit,
nothing  pron.没有什么
out  of  由于，出于
selfish   adj.自私的，利己主义的
ambition  n.野心
or   conj.或，或者
vain  adj.徒劳的，无结果的，无用的
conceit  n.自负，自满
selfish ambition   自私的野心，私心的争斗，结党
vain conceit   虚浮的自满，虚浮的荣耀，虚荣
只要存心谦卑，各人看别人比自己强。
but inhumility consider others better than yourselves.
but conj.但是，而是

humility   n.谦逊，谦虚，谦卑
consider   v.认为，体谅
others   pron.其他人，别人
better   adj.更好的，较好的

yourselves   pron.你们自己
各人不要单顾自己的事，也要顾别人的事。
Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.

好，下面我们一起来看一下这段经文里的语法。
1、Donothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility considerothers better than yourselves. 
在这句话中，do noting but do是一个固定用法，表示“什么也不做，但这样做；只做…”。
He did nothing but watch TV all the day.
他整天什么也不做除了看电视/他整天只看电视。
He did nothing but piddle away the time.
他不做事，只是混日子。
betterthan 的用法。比…好，比…强。
Two heads are better than one.
两人智慧胜一人。
It’s better than nothing.
总比没有好。
2、Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.
在这句话中,我们来了解一下not only …but also 的用法。其主要用于连接两个对等的成分。若连接两个成分作主语，其后谓语动词与靠近的主语保持一致。
She likes not only music but also sport.
她不但喜欢音乐而且喜欢运动。
We go there not only in winter, but also in summer.
我们不仅冬天去那儿，而且夏天也去。
Not only the students but also their teacher is enjoying the film.
不仅学生们在欣赏这部影片，他们的老师也在欣赏这部影片。
3、Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus.
在这句中，我们来看一下the same as  的用法。the same as 为固定搭配，表示“与…一样”。
The number of my brothers is the same as that of my sisters .
我兄弟姐妹数量一样多。
The price of this painting is almost the same as that car.
这幅画的价钱抵得上那辆汽车。
Don’t make the same mistakes as you did last time.
不要重犯上次的错误。

没有人恨自己，人都是爱护、珍惜和看顾自己，人的问题在于对自己太关心。很多时候，在交往中我们与人产生摩擦，并不是因为我们对人不够坦诚，而是蕴藏在我们灵魂深处的一意为己的结果。要与人存心和睦，我们就必须经常去对付我们的野心，我们的私欲，我们的以自我为中心，和我们的视角，要看别人比自己强，要作神和众人的仆人。
