还我听证权孩童安全第一

马宝区家长将于周二11月21日集会抗议市府剥夺我们保护学童的权利。

温哥华市长罗品信在10月底对媒体突然宣布将在Marpole区Heather街和59街交口，紧邻三个学校20米远的地方，设立78个单元的临时移动房（THM）供无家可归的人士居住。

市政府10月初故意修改Bylaw,绕过TMH项目听证程序，此工程将于2018年1月完成。

我们坚决反对TMH的选址，因为我们2500多个孩子的安全将受到严重威胁。

对于这样对我们社区有重大影响的事情，我们被剥夺了知情权，我们被剥夺了话语权。我们的声音被暴君般地忽略与压制，我们的人权被悍然践踏和侵犯。

Fight for our Rights for Public Hearing

and for our Kids’ Rights for Safety!

The Marpole parents are gathering on Tuesday Nov 21 to protest against the City for depriving our rights to protect the safety of our school children.

At the end of October, Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson unexpectedly announced to the media that 78 Temporary Modular Housing (TMH) units will be built for the homeless at Heather and 59th in Marpole, merely 20 meters RIGHT across three schools. The City changed the bylaw in October that TMH project can be approved without public hearing and it is scheduled to be completed in January 2018.

We strongly oppose the proposed site as it will put over 2500 school children at risk.

We are outraged by the fact that regarding such a major event that has a significant impact on our community, we were deprived of the right to get consulted. Our voices have been despotically silenced and ignored and our human rights blatantly violated and trampled.

Please join us in our protest to get back our rights for public hearing and to put our kids’ safety first!
