新英格兰华人联盟(NECAA)和牛顿华人协会(CAAN)热烈邀请我们华人社团朋友参与这次激励人心的华人参政论坛，论坛上有来自大波士顿都会地区的过去和现在的华裔民选代表。他们将分享各自在公民参政方面的见解和经验，以及社区华人社团所面临的独特挑战和机遇。
从历史上看，亚裔社区由于语言、文化差异和第一代移民的经历而遇到了公民参与的障碍。然而，随着过去几十年人口的增长和公民意识的提高，亚裔社区现在比以往任何时候都更愿意在社区管理立法中发挥积极和有力的作用。这个论坛旨在为我们的社区营造一个更具包容性，正义性，及代表性的公民管理社会环境。

新英格兰华人联盟（New England Chinese American Alliance），是一个立足于新英格兰地区的501C4非盈利组织，旨在推动华裔参与社区和社会活动、提高华裔的生活幸福指数和竞争力、提升华裔在美国的影响力。NECAA组织了一系列与文化、经济、社会、政治等方面的活动，号召华裔一起了解、参与到与我们自身息息相关的各种事务当中来。
The purposes of the Chinese American Association of Newton (CAAN) are
To advance Chinese-American interests in important city-wide activities especially, but not limited to, cultural and public school education, local issues, and diversity.
To support members with opportunities for involvement in the Newton community through volunteerism, networking, and social events.
To collaborate with City residents, municipal offices and community organizations for the contribution to wellness and quality of the Newton community life.
The purposes of CAAN are promoted through advocacy, cultural awareness, and educational programs directed toward city residents, officials, and the general public; developed through designated projects and programs; and governed and qualified by the basic policies set forth in our bylaws.
