有记者提问：中方今天围绕台湾地区开展军事演习。美国军方官员表示，中方今天的演习“令人担忧”。中方对于美方的回应有何评论？
汪文斌：中国人民解放军东部战区已经就相关联合演训发布了公告，大家可以查阅。
中国人民解放军东部战区位台岛周边开展联合演训，维护国家主权和领土完整，对“台独”分裂势力谋“独”行径予以有力惩戒，对外部势力干涉挑衅予以严重警告，完全符合国际法和国际惯例，完全正当必要。
The joint drills of the PLA Eastern Theater Command are a necessary and legitimate move to safeguard national sovereignty and territorial integrity, crack down on "Taiwan independence" separatist forces and their separatist moves and send a warning to external interference and provocation. It is fully consistent with international law and common practices.

有记者提问：据报道，美国国会众议院外委会主席麦考尔近日称，其将于5月底率团访台。中方对此有何评论？
汪文斌：中方一贯坚决反对美台开展任何形式的官方往来，坚决反对美方以任何方式、任何借口干涉台湾事务。美国国会是美国政府的组成部分，应严格遵守美国奉行的一个中国政策。国会议员如果访台，将严重违反一个中国原则和中美三个联合公报，干涉中国内政，损害中国主权和领土完整，向“台独”分裂势力发出严重错误信号。
China firmly opposes official interaction in any form between Taiwan and the US and opposes US interference in Taiwan affairs in any form or under any pretext. The US Congress is part of the US government and supposed to strictly adhere to the one-China policy followed by the US. Any visit by congressional members to Taiwan will seriously violate the one-China principle and the three China-US joint communiqués, interfere in China's internal affairs, undermine China's sovereignty and territorial integrity and send a seriously wrong signal to "Taiwan independence" separatist forces.
中方要求美方恪守一个中国原则和中美三个联合公报，不得安排国会议员访台，停止美台官方往来，停止制造台海局势紧张因素，以实际行动履行美方所作仅与台湾地区保持文化、商务和其他非官方关系以及不支持“台独”的承诺。如果美方一意孤行，由此造成的后果必须完全由美方负责。
China urges the US to seriously abide by the one-China principle and the three China-US joint communiqués, not arrange for any visit by members of the Congress to Taiwan, stop official interaction with Taiwan, stop creating tensions in the Taiwan Strait and act on the US commitment to maintaining only cultural, commercial, and other unofficial relations with the Taiwan region and not supporting "Taiwan independence". Otherwise, all consequences arising therefrom must be borne by the US.
