记者从河南省消防安全委员会办公室获悉，针对河南大学明伦校区大礼堂火灾，河南省消防安全委员会办公室已成立由省消防救援总队牵头，公安、应急、教育、文物等部门及开封市政府参加的联合调查组开展提级调查，尽快查明原因，依法追责问责。相关工作正在开展中。

A joint investigation team led by Henan authorities has been established to conduct a level-up investigation in response to the fire at the auditorium of the Minglun Campus of Henan University,according to the Office of the Fire Safety Committee of Henan province.The team aims to quickly ascertain the cause, and to seek accountability according to the law. Related work is currently underway.

河南省消防安全委员会办公室称，目前火灾造成建筑物部分屋顶坍塌损毁，无人员伤亡。相关责任人已被公安机关控制。
据开封消防救援支队指挥中心消息，2024年5月2日23时22分，开封市消防救援支队指挥中心接到报警称，河南大学明伦校区一建筑房顶着火，无人员被困。河南大学随后发布通报称，正在修缮施工期间的河南大学明伦校区大礼堂发现火情。经消防部门全力扑救，火灾被扑灭，无人员伤亡。

The blaze happened at 11:22 pm on Thursday when the building was under repair. The fire was put out without any casualty by Friday morning.
5月3日上午，河南大学官方微博发布情况通报称：“对于此次火灾，我们无比痛心、自责，向全体师生、校友以及关心学校的社会各界表示深深歉意。学校将尽一切努力将损失降到最低。”
Henan University in central China's Henan province apologized for a fire that engulfed its century-old grand auditorium on Thursday night, according to a statement issued on Friday morning. The university said it will make every effort to minimize the loss.

据了解，失火建筑为河南大学河南留学欧美预备学校旧址大礼堂，于2006年被列为第六批国家重点文物保护单位。该礼堂于1934年12月28日建成，占地面积3932平方米，南北长73.75米，东西宽53.75米，总建筑面积4687平方米，可容纳3000多人，是全国近代建筑艺术精品。
The auditorium, located in the university's oldest campus in Kaifeng, Henan, was completed in 1934 and was an important landmark building.
