4月22日是地球日！无论我们每个人选择如何保护地球，我们都可以在应对气候变化和环境退化的斗争中有所作为。现在，我们比以往任何时候都更需要一个健康的地球来实现繁荣发展，地球也需要我们。欢迎大家加入我们，观看一部关于传粉昆虫的纪录片，一起庆祝地球日和保护地球。

April 22 is Earth Day!  No matter how we each choose to protect Planet Earth, we can all make a difference in the fight against climate change and environmental degradation.  Now more than ever, we need a healthy Planet Earth to thrive, and Planet Earth needs us.  Come and join us in celebrating and protecting Planet Earth, as we watch a documentary film about pollinators.

鸟类、蝙蝠、蜜蜂、蝴蝶、甲壳虫和其他为植物授粉的小型哺乳动物为我们带来了三分之一的食物。它们还通过帮助植物繁殖来维持我们的生态系统和生产我们的自然资源。本片讲述了美国各地的养蜂人及其卡车上的蜜蜂为花朵授粉而走遍美国的旅程，而这些经过授粉的花朵将最终成长为我们食用的水果、坚果和蔬菜。通过这部影片，我们将了解到传粉昆虫在当今世界面临的挑战，例如栖息地丧失、杀虫剂滥用、气候变化和疾病，以及探讨传粉昆虫在开花植物的繁殖和粮食作物的生产中发挥的关键性作用。我们还将更深入地了解到传粉昆虫整个种群所面临的威胁，以及这些威胁对生态系统和粮食安全所造成的影响，从而提高我们对传粉昆虫重要性的认识。当我们认识到传粉昆虫在维持地球生命方面的重要作用时，我们还将考虑采取有意义的措施保护和养护它们。

Birds, bats, bees, butterflies, beetles, and other small mammals that pollinate plants are responsible for bringing us one out of every three bites of food.  They also sustain our ecosystems and produce our natural resources by helping plants reproduce.  The film shows a journey around the United States following migratory beekeepers and their truckloads of honeybees as they pollinate the flowers that become the fruits, nuts, and vegetables we all eat.  Through this film, we will learn the challenges facing pollinators in today's world, such as habitat loss, pesticide exposure, climate change, and diseases.  We’ll also explore the critical role pollinators play in the reproduction of flowering plants and the production of food crops.  We will gain a deeper understanding of the threats that jeopardize pollinator populations and the consequences for ecosystems and food security, raise our awareness about the importance of pollinators.  As we acknowledge the vital role of pollinators in sustaining life on Earth, we’ll also consider the meaningful steps towards their protection and conservation.

Attendees will need to show their physical [MLM(1] [G(2] ID or passport to be admitted into the Consulate.  We do not provide safekeeping services for cameras and laptops, please do not bring them with you. Other belongings will be temporarily stored at the gate, including mobile phones and bags.
