In honor of Women’s History Month, the U.S. Consulate in Shanghai, in partnership with other foreign consulates in Shanghai, cordially invites you to join us from March to early May for the 2024 Shanghai International Women’s Film Festival, as we pay tribute to the indomitable spirit and remarkable achievements of women worldwide. This festival is dedicated to promoting women's equality and empowerment through thought-provoking dramas and inspiring documentaries.
4月10日周三晚6:00上海美国中心将携手瑞典驻上海总领事馆放映电影《相敬如宾》。

On April 10 (Wednesday) at 6pm, the Consulate General of Sweden in Shanghai will present the film "Loving Couples."
电影《相敬如宾》讲述了三位在医院待产的妇女的故事，追溯了影响她们一生的事件。在这场仲夏夜派对上，她们将直面自己的命运。本片导演Mai Zetterling既是导演又是演员，她的职业生涯长达几十年，《相敬如宾》是她的导演处女作。瑞典艺术资助委员会专门设立了Mai Zetterling奖，每年颁发给一位具有高艺术质量的电影导演，以奖励对短电影以及纪录片的边界探索。

The film "Loving Couples" tells a story of three women in a hospital awaiting childbirth, depicting their memories of the events that shaped their lives.  At a midsummer's eve party, they will confront their destinies. Mai Zetterling, both director and actress, had a prolific career spanning decades, with "Loving Couples" being her directorial debut.  The Swedish Arts Grants Committee's Mai Zetterling Award is presented annually to a film director of the highest artistic quality who extends the boundaries for short or documentary films.

Consul General of Sweden in Shanghai Mrs. Marie-Claire Swärd Capra will join the event for opening remarks and the after-screening discussion.

我们至少会在活动开始前15分钟启动安检流程以及入场。请您携带有效并带有照片的身份证件原件进入上海美国中心，证件复印件或照片将不被接受。 

Doors will open and security screening will commence 15 minutes before the program starts. You must bring a valid physical photo ID to enter the Shanghai American Center. Copies or pictures of IDs will not be accepted.   
参加活动请提前报名。活动会准时开始，是否有余位视现场观众到场情况而定。为了确保所有观众的舒适和安全，并遵守防火规范，我们只能让前80位到场并成功报名参加活动的观众入场。 

Please RSVP if you intend to come.  Programs begin on time and seats are subject to space availability. To ensure the comfort and safety of all participants and adhere to fire codes, we can only accommodate the first 80 guests who arrive having RSVP’d.

All personal belongings brought into the American Center will be scanned during security screening. Guests may not bring laptop computers to Shanghai American Center programs. Please note there is no place to store luggage or laptops outside the Center. Portable electronic devices, such as mobile phones, iPads and other tablets, and smartwatches are permitted.  No audio or video recording of the program will be permitted.

Shanghai American Center staff may capture photos or video during the event for future promotion of American Center events.  Staff will make efforts during the event to gain verbal permission from individuals whose likeness is captured in footage to be used publicly.  Granting permission allows the Shanghai American Center and the U.S. Department of State permission to publish photographs or video in which participants may appear for any lawful purpose, without payment, further approval, or any other consideration in perpetuity.

Staff of the ShAC reserve all rights to refuse entry.
