Cook revealed the headset's China launch plan in response to a media question on the sidelines of the China Development Forum in Beijing.

Apple will continue to ramp up research and development investment in China, he was quoted as saying.

蒂姆·库克表示，苹果一直以来都很重视在中国的研发投入。就在上周，他们宣布了在上海和深圳新设应用研究实验室的计划。而中国有着令人惊叹的人才队伍，能起到极大的帮助作用。此外，他还表示将加大在华投资，并重点关注供应链、研发和零售业务等领域。
Cook also revealed plans to dedicate resources towards applied research in Shanghai, China's financial hub.

Apple remains committed to long-term development in China and will continue to increase investment in the supply chain, research and development, and sales in the country, Cook said.

在随后的“碳中和与全球气候治理专题研讨会”上，库克在发言时表示，苹果公司加上所有供应链的合作伙伴，总共已用到了超过15千兆瓦的可再生能源。这是一个覆盖全球各地的大工程。由于其大部分供应链企业都在中国，所以其中很多项目也都在中国。如果没有这些供应链企业，他们将无法实现目标，也无法实现碳中和，这实际上是一个“1+1=3”的问题。
