Celebrating Female Filmmakers: Showcase of Short Films by Women

On March 22, 2024, the U.S. Embassy and the China International Women's Film Festival will co-host a special screening showcasing the works of talented Chinese female directors. This exclusive event will feature three award-winning films from the domestic short film competition of the China International Women's Film Festival: "Mr. Red", "Tinnitus", and "Between the Wall". This in-person event will highlight the creativity and vision of women in the film industry. We cordially invite you to join us for this unique movie experience and engage in meaningful discussions with the directors about the compelling themes explored in these exceptional short films. 
2024年3月22日，美国驻华大使馆和中国国际女性影展将携手举办中国女性导演短片展映活动。本次活动将展映中国国际女性影展国内短片竞赛的三部获奖作品：《六月八日下午五点》、《耳鸣》和《墙的另一边》。活动将突出展示电影行业女性的创造力和视野。欢迎参加此次观影，共同就三部短片呈现的议题与导演团队进行主题交流。

《六月八号下午五点》（剧情，20分钟） 
在面对现实中的巨大压力时，我们往往会不自觉地寻找一个出口。对于成年人来说，这个出口可能是下班后的一杯奶茶，一出喜剧；而对于高三的来夏来说，这个出口是让她情窦初开的男生“小红”。 
他的出现，成为了来夏千篇一律的生活中的一点光，成为了让她继续奋斗的动力。然而，当高考结束，压力终于得到释放时，“小红”作为出口的存在也就不具有意义。来夏终于意识到，这场爱慕的意义是让她越过了少女和成人的藩篱，成为更好的自己。 
《⽿鸣》（剧情，21分钟） 
外婆去世，⽟珍却因⾼原反应⽆法去寺庙为她燃灯。在梦境送灯途中，她遇见了外婆和⾃⼰的另⼀种可能。梦醒，⽟珍感到困惑，⽽现实⽣活中发⽣的事也与梦境产⽣了奇妙的联系。 
《墙的另一边》（实验，9分钟） 
这是一场跨越了大半个地球的对话，来自中国和挪威的两名年轻女性，素不相识却袒露心扉，关于创伤经历、性别身份的感受以及如何让自己平静。跨越的墙是否真实已不再重要，重要的是流动着的真实感受。
