This trainee will join the Hong Kong Financial Control team and assist in Finance department tasks. The ideal candidate should have already completed all bachelor/master degree requirement by now and will be ready to start working from November 2023. Trainee program is one year to begin with and possible for extension up to 2 years in total, subject to performance and business needs.

- Project to deploy a reporting solution for HKMA Granular Data Reporting:

Familiarize the GDR requirement and our data source (both accounting and contract data);

Assist in the implementation of vendor’s tools, including ETL, data mapping, possible ways to retrieve relevant data from our source systems, etc.

Devise and participate the UAT; and assist in necessary documentation post implementation

- Enhance automation in producing reports (both local regulatory and management control)

Identification of users’ requirements and specifications;

Data analysis, data mining of massive data sources and mapping with available tools;

Perform UAT and parallel run (if needed) to reconfirm accuracy and consistency;

Clear documentations of process flows and user guides, as well as data dictionary;

- Familiarize with regulatory reporting requirements for banks in HK, as well as management control processes, including MIS reporting. Assist in finance production tasks (for both reporting and controls) and other Finance projects.

Bachelor Degree / BSc Degree or equivalent

Bachelor student in Engineering, IT or Finance

0-2 years

Experience / knowledge in IT skills (SQL, excel, macros, MS Access, etc.) would be an advantage
