孩子的视线，是充满想象力的观察，去神奇的城堡探险、在树屋里藏下小秘密，丛林迷宫中、秋千吊床上仍有童年的欢乐在回响。每个曾经是孩子的我们都有一个童年梦想中的乌托邦。 
Children's perspectives are filled with imaginative observations, exploring magical castles, hiding small secrets in treehouses, echoing childhood joy in jungle mazes, and on swings and hammocks. Each of us who was once a child has a utopia from childhood dreams.

为实现儿童友好最大化，我们选择了与生俱来的儿童友好建造之地——光山。 
We’ve chosen the naturally child-friendly construction site of Guangshan. 
打造儿童友好的光山，欢迎大家“成为光的孩子”。“儿童友好民宿”因势而生，对于这一题材，大概很多人都会想到森林、木屋、海岛、野营......和民宿特征有关的标志物，但难以全面阐述这一特殊类别的建筑形态——“儿童友好民宿“对设计师来说是一项极具挑战性的任务。 
In creating a child-friendly Guangshan, we welcome everyone to "become children of light." The concept of "child-friendly guesthouses" naturally arises, and for this theme, many people might think of forests, log cabins, islands, camping, and other symbols related to guesthouse features. However, it's challenging for designers to comprehensively articulate this unique category of architectural form. "Child-friendly guesthouses" pose an exceptionally challenging task for designers.

欢迎走进光山儿童友好乡村民宿竞赛，随我们一同用设计改造乡村，唤起一场关于童年的建筑想象。 
Welcome to the Guangshan Child-Friendly Rural Guesthouse Competition, where we invite you to join us in using design to transform the countryside and awaken an architectural imagination about childhood. 
竞赛背景
2023 光山儿童友好乡村民宿竞赛由光山县人民政府和光山县发展投资有限公司主办，AIM 国际设计竞赛、SMART 度假产业智慧平台承办，诚邀全球设计机构参与创想未来儿童友好型建筑的多样可能。
The 2023 Guangshan Child-Friendly Rural Guesthouse Competition is organized by the People's Government of Guangshan County and Guangshan County Development Investment Co., Ltd., with AIM International Design Competition and the SMART Holiday Industry Intelligence Platform as the organizers. We cordially invite global design institutions to participate in envisioning the diverse possibilities for future child-friendly architecture. 
“北国江南”、“江南北国”，这是形容光山适宜人居的常用比喻，自然造物与人文传承在这个秘境千年演绎。2023 年 7 月 8 日-7 月 30 日，在文化和旅游部艺术司、文化和旅游部产业发展司的指导下，光山举办了“首届乡村儿童艺术嘉年华”，成为文化产业赋能乡村振兴的重头戏和“儿童友好县域”的示范样本。
"Northern Jiangnan" and "Jiangnan in the North" are common metaphors used to describe Guangshan as a suitable place for human habitation, where the creations of nature and cultural heritage have been intertwined for millennia. From July 8th to July 30th, 2023, under the guidance of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism's Department of Arts and the Department of Industrial Development, Guangshan hosted the "First Rural Children's Art Carnival," becoming a flagship event in empowering rural revitalization through cultural industries and setting an example for a "child-friendly county."  
在光山见证了源源不断发光的儿童活力，看到了县域乡村蓬勃的生命力，孩子们其实也像幼苗植物一样，也在成长中进行着一次次的光合作用，本次竞赛的主题就此诞生——光合森友会（Lights in Forest）。 
In Guangshan, we have witnessed the continuous radiance of children's vitality and the thriving life force of rural areas. Children, much like young seedlings, also undergo photosynthesis as they grow. This competition's theme is born from this concept - "Lights in Forest" or "光合森友会" in Chinese. 
“光合”即自然界的“植物生长”或“能量转换”或“碳-氧平衡”。这一次，AIM再聚光山，组织森友们在林间去共同建造小屋，并收集每一份独一无二的光合力量——建筑，不仅是捕捉光的“容器”，更是使“孩童-艺术-大自然”发生链接的能量场域，为光山注入新的活力。
"Photosynthesis" refers to the natural processes of "plant growth," "energy conversion," or "carbon-oxygen balance" in the natural world. This time, AIM gathers once again in Guangshan to organize the forest friends in building cabins together amidst the woods and collecting each unique source of photosynthetic power. These structures are not just "containers" capturing light; they are energy fields that establish connections between "children, art, and nature," injecting new vitality into Guangshan.

When a place doesn't need to consider adult thinking, how do you define a child-friendly space and become a pioneer in child-friendly guesthouses?
 首届乡村儿童艺术嘉年华 
（The first rural children's art Carnival） 
 【“看见光”- 观察与再创作】 
"Seeing Light" - Observation and Re-creation.  
设计师们对光山的在地人文、材料、生态环境、声音、植物等进行实地调研，调动多种感官去感知建筑表达、原生自然环境与儿童友好的关联性，响应光山儿童友好号召，把一切新鲜的元素都当作设计中好玩的玩具和教材使用。
Designers conducted on-site research in Guangshan, exploring the local culture, materials, ecological environment, sounds, and plant life. They engaged multiple senses to perceive the connection between architectural expression, the natural environment, and child-friendliness. In response to Guangshan's call for child-friendliness, they treated all fresh elements as fun toys and educational materials to be used in the design process.

"Becoming Light" - Innovation and Reintegration 
满足光山的场域的同时将儿童友好设计原则融入建筑中，创造安全、有趣、教育性和互动性的空间。同时，也强调可持续性，包括使用环保材料、能源效率、水资源管理等，以确保长期的可持续运营。
While meeting the context of Guangshan, child-friendly design principles are integrated into the architecture, creating spaces that are safe, fun, educational, and interactive. Sustainability is also emphasized, including the use of eco-friendly materials, energy efficiency, water resource management, etc., to ensure long-term sustainable operation.

"Gathering Light" - Connecting and Unique Energy. 
邀约全球建筑师、设计师、民宿主共创竞赛，将童年梦想通过光山来落实，并建立儿童民宿集群，与地域文化相结合，感受本土化与国际化的碰撞，让大孩子小孩子在建立的集群中肆意生长，让纯粹的空间场域引起人们内心的共鸣，设计师汇聚新鲜有趣的设计表达，赋予每一块场地独特的能量。
Inviting architects, designers, and guesthouse owners from around the world to collaborate in this competition, to bring childhood dreams to life through Guangshan and establish a cluster of child-friendly guesthouses. Combining with local culture, this initiative aims to create a fusion of local and international influences, allowing both adults and children to grow freely within this cluster. The goal is to evoke a deep resonance within people through these pure spatial environments, with designers contributing fresh and engaging design expressions, imparting unique energy to each site.

本次竞赛旨在充分挖掘儿童友好民宿空间运营的多种可能性，让民宿主理人与设计师自由组合，去寻找那些关于天性的、藏在基因里的、回归童年的幻想，以小制大，用轻盈的巧思去撬动光山这片土地上的儿童关怀和未来人居生活。 
This competition aims to fully explore the various possibilities of constructing child-friendly guesthouse, allowing designers to unearth the innate, genetic, and childhood fantasies. It encourages thinking big through small-scale solutions, using ingenious ideas to promote child-friendly living and future habitat in Guangshan.
设计点位 设计点位：飞行营地 
Site: Flying Campsite
国内头部民宿品牌领衔入驻，在富有想象力与拓展力的光山“飞行营地”打造国内首个儿童友好民宿集群。飞行营地位于光山县龙山湖国家湿地公园内，200亩的浩瀚乡野，将打造成完整丰富的度假区综合业态，给孩子提供了一个无污染纯心纯净广袤自然的户外体验场所。
Prominent domestic top-tier B&B brands lead the way in establishing the first cluster of child-friendly homestay in the imaginative and expansive Guangshan "Flying Campsite." Located within the Longshan Lake National Wetland Park in Guangshan County, this Flying Campsite encompasses 200 acres of vast countryside. It is set to become a comprehensive vacation destination, offering children an unpolluted, pure, and expansive natural outdoor experience.
飞行营地 
（The Flight Campsite） 
此次竞赛鼓励民宿品牌主理人+设计师团队联合组队/民宿运营联合体，首期针对光山县飞行营地进行定向设计， 对于单体民宿设计各方面提出富有创意且适宜落地的方案，打造一个儿童友好民宿集群的奇迹，为光山带来更多可能性。
This competition encourages the formation of teams consisting of B&B brand hosts and designers or B&B operation consortia. The initial focus is on targeted design for the "Flying Campsite" in Guangshan County. Innovative and practical proposals for individual B&B designs are sought to create a miraculous cluster of child-friendly B&Bs. The goal is to bring forth a multitude of possibilities for Guangshan and establish a vibrant community of child-friendly accommodations.

 民宿运营方案 
1.提交民宿运营及商业计划书，不限于民宿品牌定位、目标人群、项目运营、市场营销、发展战略、落地计划等（计划书可以为word或ppt形式，图片为JPG格式，精度不小于150dp）
1.Submission of B&B Operation and Business Plan: Prepare a comprehensive plan in either Word or PowerPoint format.Include details such as B&B brand positioning, target audience, project operations, marketing strategies, development strategies, and implementation plans.(Ensure that the plan includes images in JPG format with a resolution of no less than 150 dpi.) 
 建筑设计方案 
1. 至少四张A1尺寸(841MMx594MM)的设计方案，排版构图横竖不限。方案内容包含但不限于：总平面图、建筑平面图、立面图、剖面图、效果图及分析图、设计理念图解（需含设计说明，设计说明要阐述方案的设计理念、创意亮点等内容，文本资料为word格式；）、经济技术指标（需含有投资估算）、其他能充分表达设计构思的画面资料，还需提交创作草图、工作照片及其他创作过程资料若干。（最终设计成图文件以JPG格式提交 ，精度应不小于300dp） 
1. At least four A1-size (841MMx594MM) design proposals, and the layout composition is not limited to horizontal or vertical. The submitted works are original creations of the participants and do not infringe upon any third-party patents, copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights. These works have not been publicly published in newspapers, magazines, websites, or other media, have not been patented or registered for copyright, have not participated in other competitions, and have not entered commercial channels in any form. If plagiarism or other infringement is discovered in the shortlisted or winning entries, the organizer reserves the right to disqualify the participants, revoke any prizes, awards, and certificates, and the legal disputes arising from this will be the responsibility of the authors or participants themselves. The organizer retains the ultimate decision-making power regarding competition-related matters. Intellectual property rights of the competition entries belong to the team receiving the competition prize, with the authors having the right to attribution. The organizer holds the copyright to the competition entries and can exercise all copyright rights except for the author's attribution right. Teams that do not receive competition prizes have copyright ownership of the entries according to copyright law, and the organizer has the right to exhibit, promote, and distribute the works.
