先哲一针见血
According to modern law, If a person dies intestate (no will), the title of his estate goes to 1. spouse; 2. issue; 3. ancestors; 4. collaterals...
这是从古代慢慢演变成形的现代法律里各州都遵循的法规。
我想说的不是这个。
我想说的是，spouse是配偶，ancestor是父母，collateral是旁系血亲，而issue是孩子，你的孩子。你孩子是你的issue！哈哈哈哈哈哈……
不知道在语言演变史上，“问题”和“孩子”哪个先来; history, manifesting the distilled wisdom, never stops amusing me.
