We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Analyst.

Role Overview and Key requirements of the role holder:

- The Capital Markets group consists of Debt Capital Markets (DCM), Equity Capital Markets (ECM), Strategic Equity & Financing (SEF), Leveraged & Acquisition Finance (LAF), Corporate Risk Solutions (CRS), Strategic Solutions Group (SSG) and Issuer Services (ISV).

- The Capital Markets group is in turn, part of the broader Capital Financing & Investment Banking Coverage (CFIBC) construct at HSBC

Principal Responsibilities

- This role sits within the DCM team

- Assist senior bankers in the preparation of pitches and other marketing materials for public and private bond transactions

- Assist with pricing updates and trade ideas

- Assist in all aspects of deal origination and execution

- Ensure all aspects of control, from credit to KYC to compliance are in good order

- Support all aspects of HSBC’s branding and marketing in the DCM space, including contribution to various awards processes

- Support the Sustainable DCM team in terms of structuring Sustainable Bonds and advising on Sustainable propositions for all issuers, including research on clients’ potential ESG projects, drafting/tailoring Sustainable Finance Framework, engaging with External Reviewers and handling ESG investor conversations

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, related fields, or equivalent experience

- Understanding of capital markets is preferred

- Motivated, detail oriented, reliable individual with strong analytical and technical skills

- Strong written and verbal communication skills in Cantonese, English and Mandarin
