哥大全球中心携手哥大气候学院将气候与社会硕士项目首次带来中国！

7月25日，我们诚邀您参加哥大气候学院气候与社会硕士项目大中华区的首次宣讲会，了解跨学科的新兴研究生项目如何为从业者、学生及学者带来系统的培训与专业的实践。

该项目将帮助学生将所学所获进一步运用到未来的职业发展和学术研究中，为社会和我们所在的星球面临的气候变化议题贡献智慧、才能与经验。

⭐️ 活动亮点 ⭐️

1）哥大气候学院联合资深教育主任、气候学教授Mingfang Ting亲临现场，深入介绍哥大气候学院的学科优势、创新实践和全球影响力，面对面解答您提出的疑问。

2）宣讲会将重点介绍哥大气候学院气候与社会硕士项目（MA in Climate and Society）。该STEM项目为期一年，以跨学科的研究生课程和丰富多元的学生背景为亮点，旨在培训年轻从业者与学者进一步了解气候变化对社会和环境产生的影响。

您将了解课程安排、申请要求、奖学金计划、学生背景、校友网络等一手信息，并有充裕的时间与招生官进行实时答疑。

3）本次宣讲会还开通了线上参与渠道，如您不能来到哥大全球中心，也欢迎线上加入我们。

Columbia Global Centers | Beijing and Columbia Climate School are pleased to invite you to a hybrid information session to learn about the Climate School's Graduate Program. This session will be led by Dr. Mingfang Ting, Professor of Climate and Co-Senior Director for Education at Columbia Climate School.

The event will include a presentation on the MA in Climate & Society curriculum, learning community, admissions process, and financial aid offerings.

The STEM-designated MA in Climate and Society is a 12-month interdisciplinary graduate program that trains professionals and academics to understand and address the impacts of climate variability and climate change on society and the environment. Through classes and research, students gain knowledge in both climate and social sciences as they relate to climate.

Participants can join in person at the Beijing Center or virtually via Zoom. All are welcome to attend.

Program Highlight

气候与社会密不可分，跨学科的方法对研究气候变化的原因和影响功不可没，也有助于协助全社会做好应对气候危机的准备。

哥大气候学院气候与社会硕士项目（MA in Climate and Society）荟萃了哥大教职员工在地球科学、气候动力学、统计学和解决现实世界问题方面的专业知识。参与该项目，学生还可以选修法律、国际关系、工程和其他学科的课程，根据自己的兴趣定制跨学科课程。

气候与社会硕士项目得益于哥大气候学院与哥伦比亚大学文理研究生院的合作，还受益于来自哥大气候学院地球与环境科学系、地球研究所和国际气候与社会研究所的丰富资源及合作伙伴关系。

该项目的学生背景非常多元。学生不仅向导师学习，而且互相学习。毕业之后，他们会通过校友网络继续协作，通过不同的途径参与应对气候危机，从事城市规划者、政策顾问、记者、环保主义者等职业。期待您的加入，成为气候变化带来的系列问题的“答案”。

Columbia University, the Earth Institute and the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory are at the forefront of climate research and applications. Climate and Society sits at this nexus and takes an interdisciplinary approach to the causes and impacts of the climate crisis as well as how to prepare society.

The MA in Climate and Society program draws on faculty members' expertise in earth sciences, climate dynamics, statistics and real-world problem-solving. Students are further able to take courses in law, international relations, engineering and other disciplines to tailor the program to their interests.

The MA in Climate and Society is offered by the Columbia Climate School in partnership with the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. It also benefits from partnerships with the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences, the Earth Institute and the International Research Institute for Climate and Society.

Students come from a variety of backgrounds. Our diversity is our strength. Addressing the climate crisis will require a wide range of skills and interests. Our students learn not just from faculty but from each other. They work together as alumni, approaching the climate crisis from many different avenues. They're city planners, policy advisors, journalists, conservationists and more. If you want to be part of the solution, join us.
