Proton has bolstered its Proton X70 lineup in Malaysia with the introduction of a new variant, the 1.5 TGDi Premium X 2WD. Positioned between the 1.5 TGDi Premium 2WD and 1.8 TGDi Premium 2WD, this latest trim offers customers more options with its competitive pricing of RM 126,800 (on the road, without insurance).
While the new Proton X70 Premium X shares similarities with the Premium trim, it retains the same impressive equipment package. Notable features include LED projector headlamps, 19-inch alloy wheels, an 8-inch infotainment unit with voice command premium functions, a nine-speaker audio system, Nappa leather upholstery, auto dual-zone air conditioning, ventilated front seats, and a comprehensive suite of safety technologies such as autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, parking sensors, blind-spot monitor, and intelligent high beam.
Under the hood, the Proton X70 Premium X mirrors the 1.5 TGDi Premium variant. It is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged and direct-injected petrol engine, delivering a maximum power output of 177 PS and a peak torque of 255 Nm. The power is transmitted to the front wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, ensuring smooth and efficient performance on the road.
